took inspection cover off when I had my rear main seal replaced has a pink torque converter but noticed now when car gets warmed up converter or in that area is a load rattling noise anybody have any clue what this could be

Check the bolts that hold it to the flex plate. Some converters make noise when not locked. Never heard that on a tr though

He said it makes noise under a load, loose torque bolts usually do that at idle and stop under a load as there is pressure on them when under a load.

He may have the infamous VIG converter.

OP has everything else remained the same since rear seal replacement??

I think the guy called it a stallion brand converter made like a cadillac converter only rattles at idle do not know if so under load

Who is "the guy"?
What is a "cadillac Converter"?

Is it a multi disc Lock up piece? Those do rattle but they last better if you like to lock it up during the run.

Here's a clue; pink converter...

the guy is my friend and what a Cadillac converter is it is built the same design as old Cadillac converters were back on the day as far as size I think old mechanics know what I mean or what he meant

I dont like to think I am old, but my kids certainly tell me I am.

just found paper work on torque converter it is a vigilante 3000

Was it a single disc or multi-disc?

The multi disc was known to rattle but it's also possible for a single disc to rattle if something is coming loose internally.

The vigilante is the GM designation for converters made by Precision Industries. The Stallion was the name given to the Ford configuration.

I had a Pat's 3200 that caused a severe knock issue at launch for two years. I replaced or tightened everything I could. Finally I upgraded turbos and ordered a PTE lock up from Dusty. Installed the turbo, new chip, and the Convertor....my car hasn't had a degree of knock since.
Still have the Convertor and need to send it back to Pat to get an answer.
Toss your Convertor and get one from Dusty.

Pat's website is gone. Don't know if they are still in business.

I had a converter than rattled. Turned out it was broken internally. Buy a good one and be done with it

I'm sure the answer will be call dusty and get a PTC. I wish I had a buck for every time I saw that posted, I could buy another TR.

I would bet my car on it as everyone is on the PTC bandwagon.

I could be wrong but I doubt it.

There are many choices, it just depends on what you want out of the converter.
