red strip converter

I saw that the red strip converters are on sale. Are they good converters, and what kind of horespower would it hold to?
I was also wondering if a 2800-3000 stall would be good for my combo. I have a pte-51 turbo, msd 50, 340 pump, dual nozzle smc kit, and full 3inch exshaust.

Ken ran a red stripe for years with 36#ers & was running high 11s. He recently swapped to 009s, Ruggles heads & a 9" five disk & his only trip to the track was 11.5s.
The red stripe gave him no trouble.
I, long ago picked up an orange stripe for agood price & there doesn't appear to be a large difference in reliability.

I'm running a Red Stripe and have had good luck with it also. I t really woke my car up over the stock D5.

I also have the red stripe convertor. I had it put in while my tranny was being rebuilt, and my tranny guy said it was a well built unit.
