My post was to determine, thru user experience, performance differences between the two. Red's unit is proven, no doubt. I've ordered injectors from Racetronix in the past and will continue to do so. The Racetronix unit looks very nice, almost too nice to put into a tank, as some suggested. I'm trying to get feedback to validate paying over $150 for the Racetronix unit. Price doesn't seem much...but it sure can buy more corn in the tank:)

Just think of the $150 additional as an upgraded Stainless Steel Hanger fee..... it'll never rust out and has bigger, smoother bends.... also in the greater scheme of things $150 on car parts really isn't bad at all, if it lasts almost forever.... i cant imagine what i've spent just on bolts :eek:o_O

Well where I see the difference is Jack takes the time and money to give a little back to the community. Red has never been on the board, that I know of, and isn't a SUPPORTING vendor... I don't profit off of this board, so I do appreciate the guys that try to help me keep this place going!

I have individual members that have sold parts on this board and donated back. How many double pumpers do you think Red has sold as a result of this board over the years?

No, we try not to allow bashing of anyone....

So.....if people aren't a Supporting Vendor, There Link's get deleted???

I though this was Buick "Total" Community forum.....Not Paid Advertisement Only Forum!!!

No wonder i can't find A lot (Great) part's through this forum,Its all One Sided!!!....

I'm an original GN owner since 86' , There's many more offerings for are cars then what this board "I" see now will Represent or will Provide......

I don't see Comp Cams or F.A.S.T as a vender, yet there's forum sections devoted to them....

Welcome to the Buick Iron Curtain Forum

Leave and don't come back... There are probably 100+ threads on this board with that SAME INFO! It was posted as an ad period... The poster of the comment seems to find himself in the middle of controversy all the time:rolleyes: That is why it was deleted....

Please show me where else it is one sided? One post gets deleted and you go a rant like this? Iron Curtain? Don't quit your day job to be a comedian:rolleyes:

Thanks for the daily dose of asshole!

Im out...
My posts were not taking sides for either. Didnt feel it was right for a vendor to take shots at another manufacturer who was not present to defend their product. Paid...not paid...posting or not posting...didnt matter. It is not right.

See you all in another thread.

He should have converted both reds and racetronix flow tables to the same measurement and posted them as pictures preferably on one chart to show the flow differences. If someone wants to buy reds dp'r they can easily find out where to get one. Direct links to non advertising vendors don't help this board stay alive.

I'm in agreement with SGRIM and Bison! If you really feal this forum is so one sided (with the HUGE list of supporting vendors we have), then I strongly suggest you may look for a different board. There are others.
This board is so big, and popular because of the huge amount of support from not only users but vendors as well. Are there the occasional problem? sure, no place and no one is perfect. If you spend enough time on this board, you'll also find that the whiners, and crybabies are usually pretty short lived here. They always seem to find a different venue for their immature attitudes.

Advertising on this forum is very affordable so there is no reason why vendors who consistently benefit from it should not contribute regardless if they are internet based or not.

Racetronix distributes products that are not manufactured in-house but by virtue of our paid advertising here, we are privelaged to advertise and discuss them.

We are thankful that SGRIM has devoted his time and effort to keep this forum alive.

Well, thanks all for the feedback! I know both are good so in the end, I guess, I have a tough decision to make.

I'd like opinions on both. I will be buying one shortly, used or new.

All the B/S aside, one question I would ask is this:

Are one or both of these setups long term compatible with the fuel you intend to run?
There's nothing like having a "hot setup" let you down six months down the road when you need it most.

Our RXP turbine pumps will fair much better in E85 than a Walbro GSS-series gearotor pump.
We have had our RXP340 pumps on the market for over a year now and there have not been any E85 related failures reported yet.
It is hard to say how long they will last in E85 but we will warranty them if they do fail within the warranty period of three years as part of our DP680 assembly.
There are so many factors which will impact pump life.
Some customers have used Walbro GSS pumps in E85 for a number of years without a failure while others have had them fail relatively quickly.
We currently do not recommend our DP510 setup for use with E85.

Good info' for any of your customers that might be looking to do this same thing.
The only pumps I've seen that seem to be rated for higher Alchy' content in passenger car setups are OEM installed [flex fuel rated].

This thread shudda been locked a long time ago...start a new thread about your racetronix experience ..

I see that maybe there are some very controlling folks in here. Ill post or comment on anything I desire to. My post here was relevant since I was purchasing a fuel system. I see that if anything negative is said about Racetronix the alarms go off. My comments were honest and not mean. After all this I still have to solder the damn ground wire that just fell off the sending unit. THE QUALITY CONTROL AT RACETRONIX IS ummmmm LACKING. CALLING ME UP AnD ASKING IF Im A MAN cause I posted about this experience is just laughable. Ill personally be very happy to show you how manned up this TIGER can get......
Jack you are not much fun to talk too and have a very skewed sense of the customer's position. I'll just make sure on the other 2 Grand Nationals in my life to not use you and then we'll have no issues.
Further having to register on your site and get a bunch of junk emails just to get the instructions for the PRODUCTS I PAID FOR is silly controlling BS.

I'm going to have to agree here. The product is very eye appealing without question. Having to sign up to a forum for directions for installing products is a joke. I've had both Red's and Racetronix dp setups an while racetronix piece seems to be a higher quality piece, at least the reds system came with an instruction sheet. I've run several businesses and own one now. I'd never ship a product without ANY sort of instruction. I've replaced my system several times so it wasn't a HUGE deal, however, it's still a hassle. Just my experience.

Bert,

I assume your express package arrived on time as promised. Please send back the defective goods using the supplied return-labels and packaging. I am sorry our business model does not meet with your approval. As a manufacturer / distributor, we do not offer telephone sales or support. It has been this way since day one and there are no plans to change this. If customers feel uncomfortable using the web to acquire the information and service they require they are welcome to purchase Racetronix products through an authorized dealer that will provide phone service.

What I take issue with is your need to post on this forum before a vendor has had a chance to make good on a problem. You did not like it when I put this to you on the phone. I am sure you would not appreciate it if one of your customers got on the forum to complain before you had a chance to correct a problem. I also question how you strategically chose a high-volume thread to post vs. the vendor feedback section. This is not even a dual pump related issue! It is amazing how double standards apply when circumstances are reversed in a vendor<>customer situation. I also find it very hypocritical of customers to complain about having to access a forum for technical support when they spend many hours on this forum seeking the same information and writing long diatribes about their technical issues and vendor feedback. I encourage customers to use courtesy and discretion when engaging a vendor for support. Customers tend to forget that there are human beings behind these keyboards and phones. Human nature is to want to help a customer in need even when they may be at fault but pointing a gun to a person’s head rarely ends with positive results.

I take QC problems very seriously and I will do everything in my power to prevent them from happening again. When one has 15+ workers to manage and thousands of manufactured parts, sometimes things slip through the cracks. In speaking with my manager and staff about the hose kink, it has been determined that a small length arrived damaged from the factory. The person responsible for assembly has been made aware of this so all lines will be double-checked before assembly and during packaging. Other issues are being looked into.

Now we all know there is no news like bad news and how some people on this forum feed off threads like this so here is some perspective to those who are considering Racetronix product:

Racetronix has surpassed 1,000 G7 sender sales since their introduction approximately two years ago. Over 325 DP systems have been sold. Our customer satisfaction rate is far above industry standards and failures are very rare. The majority of customers have no problem getting the service and information they require via the web or a Racetronix dealer.

Racetronix is constantly working to improve our web site. We have recently modified our web contact form so that e-mails are directed to the correct department: http://racetronix.com/contact/

We have added a page that instructs customers on how to track the status of their orders via our web store 24/7: http://racetronix.com/web-store/track-order/

Racetronix receives hundreds of inquiries every day so it is very important that e-mails be directed to the right people to facilitate a timely response.

Not that it counts, but throwing $0.02 in.

I bought an RT DP setup a while back (probably been more than a year). It was my first purchase from RT. I was impressed by the help I received on the phone BEFORE the purchase. The person on the other end of the phone had a good technical knowledge and ability to offer different suggestions for how to connect the Hobbs. Placed my order on their website and was satisfied. When the setup arrived, I was VERY pleased with the quality of the products, both wiring and especially the sender. Everything looked very professionally done. I, too, was not fond of having to go to RT's forum to get instructions on how to run the wiring, but once I did it, responses came very timely and it was pretty easy to figure out. Things just kind of fell together like they were made to (yeah, I know they're made to).

Overall, I'd highly recommend RT to anyone not just due to their product quality, but also because they are accessible for service, even though it may be in an unconventional method.

The only suggestion I'd have for RT is to maybe post a link to product instructions on their website next to the product description. might help.

I will be calling RT again soon for fuel lines.

Stuff happens. It always happens at a bad time. I try to be mindful of this truth. When it happens to me,I talk to the seller first . If he makes everything right,I view the transaction as flawless and do business with the him again if I need to and recommend him to others.
