Went to the track yesterday and ran a 12.27 at 107mph at 26lbs of boot 02s where at 777 at the end of the track with no knock. This was on pumped gas and alky...I know the car should have alot more in here any advice?

I would say something is very wrong there. The math just doesn't work out. You should be running that with a stock turbo at 21-22psi. What rpm through the traps? You seem to be missing about 150hp somewhere.....:confused:

Wow my buddy told me I try and run 30lbs of boost but I was nervous I think I will try turning up the boost. The track was so packed yesterday I only got 3 runs in so I couldnt play around with my translator +
 
I was at the track yesterday too. I wish I could have met up with you. I talked to Gary and saw Dr Boost and Cadilac Tom. I would have liked to have BS's with you guys.

I had the TTA there. It ran pretty good. I got it to trap at 115 even with the strong headwind. That was 25lbs on a GT3255 and 93 and alky.

Ya I saw couple of TTAs there didnt know your name didnt want to look dumb ask the owners if there SN is sweet6. Didnt know you knew Gary and Surej. It was packed there yesterday huh!! Alot of Buick turnout which was real cool but it was kinda crazy felt like there was no time for chit chat just go in your lanes and wait to run by the end of the day I was so tired and only had 3 runs I just wanted to go home. Hope to meet you next time.

I never got a chance to stop by where Gary was pitted. I would have liked to met you guys.
 
Need more info, something's definatley wrong here. With that much boost your car should have gone low 11's.
 
Really? Well everytime I took off I thought I def had a 11 sec pass but then it seems like it was dying at top end maybe? I'll def look into replacing my valve springs with the heavy duty ones I bought a longtime ago. Its a 60k miles car.


Need more info, something's definatley wrong here. With that much boost your car should have gone low 11's.

Its the loose nut behind the wheel!:D Change that and the car will go 10.80s all day in the rain or snow.;) . Hey Denny did u hear that red mustang my buddy had went 11.80 with 1.54 60 ft. on his 7 th pass?

its amazing how many people were there yesterday, me and 1badT where there as well, my car ran right where I expected it too. 12.4 @113 but my trans is FRIED!!!! It was just pushing the the trans the whole pass. I also re-installed the stock D5 convertor friday which just made this worse but couldnt get it to build any boost off the line with the pats.


If you waited till later in the day after 3pm the staging lanes where near empty and you could have made all the passes you wanted.
 
Hmmmmmmm, what is it now about 5 yrs ago you bought those valve springs. I think you need to put those on your heads to actually work not in the trunk of your car. You need to change the valve springs first before you do anything else. This way if the car does the same thing you know the problem is somewhere else. I think at 20lbs + boost your valve are just floating just like your mind.

I wouldn't go any higher with the boost... fix what problems you have and the car should pick up .. :cool:
