Saw a silver GTO on the highway earlier today...then as I went by the local Pontiac dealership, saw two of them sitting out in the front lawn...one red bone stock and one yellow with an aftermarket dual scoop hood on it...the one with the scoop hood looked awesome...the silver one on the highway looked plain as jain with all the other cars around it...if you don't know what to look for when looking at a GTO then you wouldn't even notice it...they better have alot of aftermarket stuff for these cars QUICK!

i agree with you about the silver ones, they could have done a little more to them.:D

Just to let you know I work for pontiac and you can count on 400hp dual (split side rear bumper) exhaust a ram air hood and few suspension tweaks for mid 05 .

If anyone wants one in black 6-speed I can hook you up !!
I don't mean MSRP + I mean discounted. ( after all we are family so I can use a family member discount) throught the dealeship I think it saves you about $1000-1,200 on that car.

Yeah I agree, but then they wouldn't be a sleeper:) Imagine one that is turbocharged, the LS1 can make some serious hp:eek:

I saw one up close and personalat a car show. It was "Pull-Me-Over-Red" and looked good. It seemed that there was something missing from the passenger front of the engine. Maybe they put the A/C compressor there in the Vette or whatever the other car is that motor goes in.

I don't know if I would spend that kind of money, I guess that is because I don't have that kind of money.

Although it doesn't look like it, it does have true dual exhaust, it is just that both tips come out one side.

REALLY...wow that is awesome...I really hope they do the ram air hood and some more tweaks...this car is the real deal with some minor mods that's for sure...it's not THAT bad in price either...nearly 35k...it's one of the best GM has to offer right now...that and the LS6 Cadillac CTS-V and of course the 05' Vette...

They run a 13.8 stock...as did a much cooler looking car 17 years ago. Not much has changed. Old school is where it's at.

pontiyuck

They fired all the design folks before they started on this one. I heard the friday night cleaning crew did some scribbles during their coffee break and GM approved the stuff due to the strict budget... An antique platform from Australia was used to save even more money. Check out the poor fit and finish and the less than the name plate deserves performance and the iffy handling and you will walk away wondering what were they thinking.

Yea, thats why the interior is nicer than any GM car out there. It has such 'iffy' handling, thats why the holden cars are always winning the those races down under.

I wonder what you're thinking ...... put down the crack pipe

The strait line performance may not be a whole lot different then the top of the line gto of old days, but the handling is much better, and 10mpg (old)vs 25 mpg(new) is much better in my opinion.
