Trying to ship a rear quarter panel to Houston Texas from Meriden, CT. Any one here have a good experience with a particular company. Please let me know so I can get these parts here. The body shop is pestering me for the part and i totally empathize with them. I'm researching shippers on my own but i figured people on this board have been in this situation before and i rather not re-invent the wheel. Trying to put my car back together. Thanks.

I really hate to say it, but you would probably be better off trying to find the part locally. The cost to pack and ship a part that big will be at least double the cost of the part. That being said.....

Is the seller willing to pack it? Does he know someone who does UPS shipping regularly?
That is usually the best & cheapest way. When I sell parts, I pack them, and use my warehouse tenant (who has daily UPS service) to ship them.
Or, would he pack it and drop off at a local UPS Store? A little more $$
Or, would he drop the part at the UPS Store? They pack and ship - Much more $$
There are some local private pack & ship stores also. Some would be cheaper than a UPS Store.
No experience with Greyhound etc.

If you can pack it properly yourself, call Greyhound. They're pretty inexpensive when it comes to big parts like that.

I recently shipped my vinyl printer from SETX to MN and found UPS & FEDEX close to the same price with Greyhound considerably higher. I used UPS as FEDEX was a 25 mile round trip for drop-off...

BTW, with weights and dimensions all these can be checked online...

Thanks guys. I recieved one quote already but I will look into greyhound and UPS. I've shearched locally but everything seems to be rusted out.
