I was out on the highway when challenged by a C5 Vette, upon standing on the loud pedal, I get 5* of knock on the Scanmaster so I get out of it and let him go on. After reaching down and hitting the test button, the spray light comes on, so I floor it again....no spray light all the way to 20# boost.

what's the deal?!?! I have already ruled out the boost line to the controller

If you have boost going to the controller, and the set point set correctly, call Steve and have him walk you through it. Post back your findings so it can help someone in the future.

same issues

My Dad and I have had the same issues with our SMC kits..

I think the controlers go south on them? Pretty scary.

yeah, I didn't find out until I stabbed it and got 10* of knock and a whole bunch of poppin...bye bye head gasket!

Call Steve. But as a general caution with ANY kit, always be careful and watch the the spray or on light or whatever is there indicating positive line pressure as boost climbs. Your foot is still the fastest and smartest safety in the event of failure. You never know what could occur.
