ok ok, Ive been reading page after page. Im looking for a cam and lifters to go with my combo. Solid roller, with lifters. In a 109 block. Does Crower and Isky both offer them? Car will see more street miles than track but will get beat on when it does go to the track. I read about getting rev kits, and something to get the oil up top at low rpm.....

I run isky

I would call isky up and ask for Rod. He is knowledgable about cams for these cars. He will custom make you a grind for your needs.

Why would you want to go with a solid roller? If you're going to street drive it, I would personally go with a proven Comp Cam hydraulic roller.

Oh Yeah

that too, isky does not make a roller cam for these engines. I run a hydaulic, and on that topic, why run a solid cam??

i run crane solid roller lifters on a hyd roller cam core and its perfect on the street, no problems, just don't use too big of a cam, oil pressure is fine.I had a lifter pump up and bend the valve, so i will never go back to hyd roller.

Are the Crane Rollers the same ones that TA sells?

guess I could run a billet roller on solid lifters, didnt consider that
downsides?

Isky makes a solid roller for it,
Anyone try the Crower Severe Duty hyd roller lifters?

SEVERE-DUTY CUTAWAY
ROLLER LIFTERS
A must for high cylinder pressure, high
rpm applications. Crower’s Severe-Duty
Cut-Away style rollers feature a superior,
billet alloy body, lightweight design and a
heavy-duty blade, raised to fit late model
blocks. Standard or offset (180").

Part # 66266-12 BUICK V6 (shielded bearing)
Warning: Never submerse roller lifters in parts washers due to
possible contamination from suspended metal fines in the solvent.
Crower recommends .0015" - .0025" tappet bore clearance.
For High Pressure Pin Oiling (HIPPO), specify “H” after p/n.

solid roller

really, i asked rod if they made roller cams, he said he could never get the cores to make them? or I would of opted for a roller cam, i'll call him and ask tomorrow.
