So I've been doing some playing around with a couple different N/A builds in the past 10 years and haven't quite got anything done yet to be honest!
I need some help. Been reading about some of your different cams. Im seeing you are having roller cams made to spec from some of the older flat tappet specs for N/A builds. I have a 4.1, basic bottom end rebuild, im guessing high 7s compression pistons. Ported irons with PAC 1283 springs (see specs below, set up for a roller). Ill be using a 2004r out of a Monte SS, a red Stripe converter (restalled D5 2600-2800), 3.73 posi rear, Hooker headers, and a Quadrajet off of an 89 307 Olds motor (electric choke). Plan is to use a factory 87 non turbo engine harness and ECM if I can. Would like to street drive it regularly, but want some lump to the cam even though we all know most people dont like the v6 sound! As far as performance goes, I realize this won't be great but im trying to get the most out of it without ruining drivability.
So with that said, can you guys guide me towards a roller cam? I dont mind getting one custom ground.
