My stock turbo is pretty much on its last leg (120k on the clock isn't bad), so I'm looking to get another one. I have a stock converter with 42# injectors and am looking for something reliable that has reasonable street manners, but can sacrifice a little.

I've heard every recommendation in the book from TA-49 to the TE-44 and even a PT-5757(?). Just looking to see what everyone else is doing.

3255, 44, or 49. Id rec a Garrett .63 ex. housing with the stock converter.

PM me I have used 49 and fresh 44 for sale,plus I am local:D

love my 49 but get the garret housing. i have the precision and it was a little laggy with the stock converter. i now have a 3000 stall and its great on the street.

+1 You will pick up a little lag when you go bigger.

i have the same setup as you and just replaced mine with a bb 44...it was definitely tired at 155K miles....great turbo, super quick spoolup
