I know this topic was prolly touched about 20 times already but the search engine really sucks... you cant type in anything with turbo cuz it screws up anyways. i have a stock turbo that has some shaft play. i want to rebuild it before i mess up the implellers.

Note to Mods... take a look at the search engine cuz i hate posting for answers i like searching and getting them quickly

Try John Craig/Limit Engineering. Got a kit to rebuild my TE-60 for around $90.00 with shipping.

you can do it and many people do but i'd presonally recomend calling around to a few diesel truck places and get some ideas on who to go to to get it rebuild. i'm all for doing things yourself but i wouldnt' want to mess around with an important piece that can spin at 100,000 rpm. if you so much as put a scratch in it you could throw off the balance enough it could self destruct. i just wouldn't go digging into it myself.

i dont' know if you plan to or not but be sure to get a new oil feed line, or at least clean out the old one very very well. make a habit of using synthetic oil and give the new turbo plenty of warm up and cool down time to keep it in good shape.

im honestly not scared of rebuilding one... i just want to know where can i get all the parts needed to rebuild it as in all the seals. also what type of turbo is the stocker? thanks

was in contact with John Craig just recently about this. The stock turbo is a Garrett TB0348.

We sell parts to rebuild the TB0348 turbocharger. You can buy the parts individually or in complete kits. It is best to disassemble the turbocharger prior to
ordering parts due to the variance in bearing sizes. The complete kit is the most economical way to buy the parts. A complete kit for the CHRA (center section)
is $75.00 plus freight. Disassemble the CHRA and measure the OD of the bearings and the OD of the shaft. If you are sure the turbocharger has never been
rebuilt the you don't need to take those measurements.
