My tires now can't hold any boost and the 1-2 shift let's out about 20ft of rubber. Time for some tires. I have stock GN rims and another set of 17s. Prob going to buy new tires for the 15s. What are my options, car is only driven on occasion in nice weather only, no rain. 95% street driven.

Nitto NT555 235-45 r17 front
Nitto NT555R 275-40-r17 Back

They look nice on Torque thrust II's

Driven occasionally not many miles - most drag radials last 3k to 7k miles:
1. Possible to get caught in rain - Nitto drag radial
2. Never get caught in rain - Any drag radial

For best wear, use a 8 or 9" wide wheel

I'm taking mine into the shop Thursday for new rear shoes. Taking off the Mickeys (only 300 miles) and trying out Falken 255/50/16, wanted BF gForce but they're on national back order. A bit hard to find this size these days. Runnin 2258/50/16 on front with 1.5" drop in front. Looks great. Good luck and enjoy the new rubber.

I treid a set of Cooper Cobras just because they were cheap. About $80/tire. Sand, rain, snow are all okay. A true street tire. At the track my 60's were 1.78:eek:. On the street they really hooked good. Do a search several others have had the same results. If i remember correctly they were 265/50/15. About an inch to spare before any rubbing.
