No one helped on the tech area so maybe the hotair guys will be more helpful. Combo is as follows:

4.1L stock crank and rods.
GN1 heads
Gutted and ported (to the felpro 1200 gaskets all the way up)stock intake
212-212 Comp cam
62mm TB
TE64 turbo
Ford FM intercooler
3" Lee Thompson DP
Innovative Turbo external gate
2.5" uppipe
Kenne Belle dual stage headers
Max Effort chip
3,200 stall Vigilante
And all the usual little things.

I don't think my 009s are going to cut it anymore and I'm a little worried about the single 340 in the tank hotwired of course. Any suggestions? I don't have the chart and off the top of my head I was thinking 55lb or bigger. Injectors are one area I haven't really researched much. I definately want to stick with the stock computer and Max Effort. My dad already has a computer modified for the low impedence injectors that I could buy pretty cheap.

did you get those heads/intake from louie?

anyway,i'd say 55's should do the trick.

I wish Louie would sell me his heads but he's keeping them. I haven't bought them yet but I have $1,600 burning a hole in my pocket from the sale of my junkyard hotair motor (I MADE my friend keep the money until I'm ready to order or I'd spend it all on fast food and beer). I'm still looking for a good used set but if I don't find any by Friday of next week I'm ordering them from Champion. My intake is homemade. I want a V1 because it's balanced and I have no idea how mine flows from cylinder to cylinder. Only thing is I can't seem to find specs on it. I've heard almost 300CFM per runner and then I hear only 230per runner which isn't enough for the GN1s.

What's the hp and 1/4 rating on the 55s? Assuming I can run the T64 at or near it's peak, will they keep up? Anyone want to buy a set of balanced 009s? I HAVE to hit the 10s by the end of summer.

The V2 flow 230cfm per runner - and the V1 is less than that. I wouldn't worry about flow to terribly much - you be forcing air in the darn thing anyways.

55's should go 10.5's - but you may need a double-pumper to feed them @ that speed. Get your thumbwheel reburnt, you ecm drivers upgraded and you'll be on your way.

Thanks, so 55s and a little alcohol should work great. I've also got a 50hp wet shot just in case. 10.50s are the minumum I can run. Maybe I should get my homemade intake flowed before I purchase another one.

i think you should try out your intake to start with and read every plug after some wot and you will see if any are leaner than others.

i have heard of lean cylinders with a real v1...i did my own intake on my hotair and never flowed it but all my plugs showed a good mixture...closer than my 87 motor..

im running 50's now and i think they will be played out in the tens but i wont know till it starts leaning out which it hasent done at all.

you would probly be fine on 55's but if i had to buy again id go up to 72's which i probly will be doing by next summer when i crank the te-45 up in the 30# range..:D

and with the big turbo and the ford i/c forget alky you wont need it..;)
