where is the sweet spot with this turbo? I have it at 22-24lb now with alky.

With stock heads and cam over 30psi.

I'm at 112 mph @24lb looks like I need to work on my tune, one pass at 114 but 1.5 KR so I pulled the timing back

I suppose those are ok mph's. I looked at some old slips and I didn't do much over 115 @ 25psi on my stock longblock.

I believe it's like an old 49...
Bison is spot on. I ran my 49 in the 28-30lb range daily. With a 3200 stall, that thing flew to 28 and it was awesome.

The cea wheel will work better at a higher pressure ratio than the old t04e 60 wheel. Under 25psi on an engine that flows under 45lbs/min there probably won't be any gain at all.

Just did a 206/206 flat tappet and mild port on the heads. Will it still need the high boost?

You should be able to hit almost 60lbs/min with that turbo. The junk engine in my blue car reached about 60lbs/min at 30psi. The engine had heads with cleaned up bowls and a good valve job on stock valves. I ran a low lift cam with 212@.050 duration. The car trapped about 128mph in this configuration and tune. So I wouldn't expect to have 10 sec power below 26-27psi with a good tune. The bowl cleanup definitely helped the straining 60-1 in my combo. Porting isn't worth anything if the bowls and valve job aren't addressed.
