I just got the call
Congrats to Dick Kereny and his TSM car with his 109 Zimmerman Racing engines built TSM motor,They just went 8.95 @156!!!!!!!

60 1.418
330 3.6829
1/8 5.814
124.605 mph
1000 7.467
1/4 8.955
156.021 mph

With Cal Hartline piloting and Len Freeman and Dicks Right hand man James,
They just pulled it off in Arizona

Waiting for a call to see if they better it

I will leave the details of the combo to Cal or Dick to post.

Yeah baby!

I really thought it would take a couple of passes. But they just got their &!%# together! Congrats guys!;)

Unbelieveable!!!

congratulations D!ck Kerney!!!!

I believe it only took a few ,They had went 9.40s at 154 last night but had a problem yesterday with the trans,But the got it squared away last night for sure:D

Wow

gives us poor 109 racers hope. Keep up the good work!

That 60' is horrible for a 5.80 1/8th time. If they can get that down, there should be a much better time in it..

WOW A WOOWY-

How much does the car weigh? That is some great MPH and even on a 109..

Any details on the motor?
8s on a stock block:eek: Drool

Congrats guys, sounds like the perfect combo with some great guys putting it to the ground!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And yes, that does give some hope to the rest of us!

This is an absolutly great feat! Congrats to everyone involved, can we please see some video please. After all, it's history in the making.....Great job fellas!!!

The first recorded, and verified, 8 sec. run with a 109 block! No one else can lay claim to this record.:D

It was not in TSM legal trim as it was a bigger turbo. But this was his "new "killer" engine that was built to TSM specs by Zimmerman Racing Engines here in Phoenix, where all his engines have been built.

It, of course, was the same TSM car that won the TSM series. Some new tuning "tricks" were done by Cal Hartline with even more to come.

The track is still fresh from major re-work over the past 2 weeks, and is still not in top form like a couple weeks ago at the West Coast Nationals. Also, a cloudy day today did not help the traction, which was far from his best launches.

Dick has worked very hard over the past several years to come from no where, to the top of the pack with his accomplishments. Every one associated with him, and his car, is extremely proud and happy for him.

Thanks Dick for setting new standards in the Buick racing community!:)

There's still a lot left in the 60. It should be 1.35 or so. Dick still has some issues to work out to get the tires planted. 8.80's will happen once it's sorted out.

Home of the world's fastest stock block!

Nick- I guess you can still keep that in your sig since all this happened in AZ huh?
8s on a 109, wowwwww thats nucking futz!
