The StageI rebuild begins!

The later cross bolt castings are entirely different castings. Much nicer and more material in places. The off center and early on-center castings were very crude in comparison.

Stage I and Stage II offcenter blocks are the same casting 25500012 for a 3.8 liter and 25500016 for a 4.1 liter.The machine work is different.

The stage I has 2 bolt mains and the stage II has 4 bolt center main(which I believe to be the case)--then I would call that a different block. Definately not cast from the same mold. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I also thought they had different oil pickup locations.
