Owen and Sophia were born into this world on Thursday of last week. It has been a loooooong week.

To start, being twins they were one week and four days premature. We were put into the labor and delivery wing of the hospital, which is like the nicest hotel you have ever stayed in for less than $500 a night. Then they moved them to the NICU for a day to monitor breathing. Owen vomited up a little green crap which is not good (bile). Then they moved them back in with us after a spinal tap and a bunch of other tests. Owen then failed his car seat test and we were required to buy a car bed. After that we were moved to the pediatrics wing where Owen failed the car bed test. Then he started to lose blood oxygen. The whole time Sophia, which is a cool pound less in weight is doing fine and eating like a champ. Owen then has to go through a bunch of other tests and at this point we are starting to lose our resolve. Yesterday they moved both of them back to the NICU where they should have never left. We were discharged and forced to go home to rest (which was the best thing that could have happened at this point. This morning we were called to come pick up Sophia, she had started to gain weight and was cleared. It killed my wife to break up the twins, but she knew it had to be done. Tomorrow we go to pick up the boy.....soo glad this is coming to an end and we can get back to life as we know it.

They are adorable and I can't wait to share my life with them. Thanks for putting up with my mostly meaningless posts these past seven days or so. This site was a godsend and really got my mind off of things.

Thanks to everyone who wished well for us, it means a lot to us.

So now I will be in the market for three TR's......they won't be showing up to high school in a citation.

Thanks again guys and gals.

Dan

Congrats!!!

Ahuge congratulations is in order. I wish your family all the best, and due try to catch up on rest while you can. ( :

Congrats with the new babies !!

I hope Owen starts feeling better and his condition improves so that he to can come home and be with his family.

Congrats!! Kids are such a blessing to your life. You are not a real parent until you have two kids, so you instantly qualify. Cool.
Glad to hear your little Guy made it into the big world. Leaving the hospital is a GRAND thing. Our daughter gets to leave today, too. But I'm not gonna Jack this thread. Again, GREAT NEWS! Enjoy your little ones every moment, they grow up FAST! When they start forming sentinces, the things they say are HILLARIOUS! We need to start a thread bout the funny things our kids have said.

Best of wishes big cat,

Little Owen will do just fine:cool: God has him in his hands,

Take Care Dan, and dont punish those kids with a Buick:p

congrats,i've been through very similar circumstaneces with my twin girls now 4 1/2 best of luck and forget about getting any rest for the first year

I'm highjacking my own thread,

I read that Ken's daughter got out of the hospital today! (i saw it above, but it didn't click until I read the other thread)

These things definitely make us stronger, the kids as well.

Best wishes to your family Ken, I know she will do great things.

One of these days I'm gonna catch up with you on the phone Dan. LOL Glad to hear everything is working out so far and Owen will be fine after a little R&R away from his sister. Once again I'll offer my services if you need some help around the house. I know you're both exhausted right now but it will be worth it in the end.

If someone were to hand me the keys to one of the cars I see every day, I would hand them back. Or sell it immediately and buy one of everything from Full Throttle and Kirbans, then settle down with a nice high mileage TR. That is what I will teach them. Just cause they are expensive doesnt make them worth the expense.

Anyone can buy one, almost 50% can't afford to maintain them.

Thanks for the good thoughts guys, Hopefully the boy comes home today.
