Thinking of buying a 4 post lift

Can anybody recommend one for hobby use? I'm thinking of one like this

I would stay away from the cheaper lifts as they are not made in the USA. I just looked at a (Backyard Buddy) 7,000 lb lift used and it is a very nice sturdy lift and the parts are replaceable right here from the US..

I have a 2 post bendpack, 10,000 lb rating. Works great with zero problems. The first thing I lifted up was my diesel crew cab dually and it snatched it right up without even a grunt so I figured it will handle any car I am ever going to put on it lol. My buick has been on it since november when I blew out the rear end. Daniel Ray

I call BS!

almost all lifts have imported steel!!!!!!!
and other parts fabricated and imported.

I have had "american" made lifts in my business, worked great.
I now have "chinese" lift at my home, works perfect!
all lifts are potentially dangerous, its the user who causes the problems.
I've seen most of the "scare tactics" by lift salesmen.
if they are adjusted and operated correctly... no matter where they are made, they are safe!

I got mine from 4 Post Car Lifts | North American Auto Equipment
when I picked it up from the wharehouse, there were numerous different brand lifts there, some so called "american made" and I saw the made in china stickers on some of the components !!!!! (BENDPAK)

I recomend a extra long- extra tall, so your pickups will fit on it, and you can drive under it if needed,
my 9K XLXT was $1950 total! (with alum ramps, 220v, jack tray)

exactly, you can't buy to much of anything made here anymore so just get what will work the best for you . There are a lot of good ones out there but so far my bendpak has treated me good. Heck the steel its made out of is probley some we shipped over there anyway lol.
