thrasher chips

I'm having some trouble with my thrasher chips. my 92 oct chip starts bucking and surging when rpm reaches approx 4800. This happens @hi or low boost(10lbs-20lbs).If I change chip to a RA chip problem goes away.The car seems to run good up to 4800 and then the car practically throws you out of your seat.Batt volt is good,14.0v fp is set @45 @ 70mph blm is112.I tried to plug in my 100oct thrasher and my check eng light started flashing so I took it out.Any ideas of what I can check to see if I can get these chips to work?
