I know I could ask on one of the numerous Ford sites but I don't know which one to look at. Anyone know if anyone has ever used one of these Eaton units on a carbed application? Or any other apps. besides the 3.8. Looking to modify for a little street rod (budget beater).
Any good sites?

Seen it done before on a 66 Mercury Comet that had it on a Ford 300 I6. They welded up adapter plates and sandwiched it between a carb on what used to be the outlet side and the air went out the inlet into a 2bbl intake. They ran it in reverse and it seemed to run until they ran out of fuel pressure at higher boost and sucked the bowls dry.

Thanks, I was thinking about putting it on a little 289. I did find some info on the T-bird site listed above. I guess one of the mods some have done is to build a small box ala Paxton to enclose the carb. Others have flipped it upside down with the outlet (to the intercooler) blowing directly into the intake. One guy even runs propane injection between the sc and the intake somehow using an old carb adapter sandwiched between. Interesting stuff. Looks like the best bet is to put it on before the carb. There was some discussion about mounting a carb on top but concern about the fuel washing out the seals, etc.
I only paid $87 for it with throttle body, etc. so I don't mind toying with it on an old engine, besides I need to get my old Fairlane running again.

Is that an Eaton M60 or M90? If its only an M60, you are going to be putting a major cork in your engine intake unless you really run it fast since its a possitive displacement blower and will only move 60cid of air per revolution. I think the latter supercoupes had M90s and the Lightning has a M112. I'd play around with it but I think 2 M60's would be a cool looking and better flowing idea.

Just some food fot thought,
