Timing cover/gerotor oil pump project

That is not true. The Series I FWD engine cover bolt holes are a perfect match to a 109 engine.

Only for the 1985 FWD 3800. You still have a mismatch with the 86-88 cover. Moot point if you still have to cut two covers to make one. The 85 FWD does not use the gerotor pump.

I think you are talking about the FWD covers not fitting the 109's as a direct bolt-on and working without any other modification. No, they are not a "bolt-on and go" timing/oil pump cover but they will physically bolt to each engine. As I said in my last post, my cover uses a stock 87 front wheel drive timing cover gasket set. No modifications are needed to get the gasket to work with my rear wheel drive 109 engine. That should tell you that the early front wheel drive covers with the gerotor pumps do bolt up directly to the 109 engine. :)
