So, in a rush to get an alternator for a trip I will soon be taking, I witnessed what may be the stupidest thing I have ever seen done to a car. I walk outside with my new alternator in hand and see three men around the front left wheel of a 2004 or so Dodge caravan. Two of these gentlemen were non-english speaking and... completely ignoring the other guy (I assume another customer) as he was trying to get them to stop spraying their vans rotors and calipers down with WD-40. They must have thought it would stop squealing brakes or something. They soaked all the brake components and then went skating in traffic. Funny and completely stupid at the same time.

I used to have a customer that would come in once a month. We'd take his drums off and blow them out. Then he'd get into the trunk and hose his shoes down with WD40. We argued with this old guy for years and never got through to him and the boss let him do it every time.
