what's a roll pin?

A Roll pin is a dowel pin made from a thin strip of rolled sheet metal instead of a solid dowle pin, and are notorious for insufficent shrear strength and generally shear off when you least want them to. A lot of pins used inside the distributor that either locate something axially such as the distributor gear drive, and or start or stop a movement are dowel pins and do shear. Generally designed for low shear or strength applications.

I'm considering doing this with my "New! Improved!" Limited but that depends on getting the tranny done between now & then; after 205,000 original miles it has finally developed one a heck of a 1-3 slide at 23 psi.

We're going to try to get Chad's ready. Haven't decided on a time to leave yet. Maybe we can caravan. I'll want to get up there early.

Well we want to leave early to so we could have a little prep time. I think gates open at 8 so I wanted to leave here no later than 6am. A caravan sounds good. Maybe we could do breakfeast too before we love or something. Hopefully Chad takes his car, I need someone to push me! Let me know what time you guys are going! Im still trying to put in a posi, axles, and a few other mods before we go!
