Since the battery is going in the trunk i might as well move the alky tank back there too.
Already working on tank selection with Julio and will go by his recommendations on how to do what.
BUT
I am still curious as to how you guys have done your alky trunk set ups.
NOT doing the spare tire thing. (even if it was available) I will be trying to get a 2 to 3 gal. tank. (2 gallon preferred) as i pussyfoot this car, the regular regal washer bottle damn near lasts me 3 months.
Does the pump get relocated to the trunk of the car?
If you guys have pictures please post them up.

Since the Battery, ALKY tank and possibly pump are going to the trunk - How do you guys handle weight distribution/concerns?
Spare, Jack and other pack rat shit will need to stay in the trunk for street duty- At the track the trunk will be emptied of above mentioned pack rat stuff.
thanks
David

thanks for the replies
Mazda has a gallon tank in the back . Pump is up front.
i also figure that i don't need more than a a gallon or so, but most of the tanks that i have found are 3 gallons and up.
http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/threads/metco-fuel-cell-install-with-pics.305551/ Here is how I did mine. I believe these pumps are more of a pusher design than a sucker! I would mount it towards back of the car. Maybe Razor can chime in on that.
that set up looks GREAT but like i said i am NOT doing the spare tire eliminating thing i drive way too much and far in my cars NOT to have a spare with me at ALL times

Can't you find room for a gallon tank up front ???
I have some dumb plans for the car this coming winter. And that project requires a lot of under hood space and distance from low heat resistance stuff like fuel and plastics.

Wish I had pictures of mine to show. I bought a nice setup from someone here, but while it doesn't go inside the indent for the spare, it does mount to the side of the trunk where the spare would be.

I love it in terms of how it works. The only issue I originally had was getting the pump to prime the first time the lines had alky in them. Had to find a big hill (or I could have jacked the car up really far)

Sorry, Pump mounted in the front below passenger headlight, and the line is run through the frame rail from back to front.
