Went to the track with one of my bestest friends last night.
Right off the trailer-----9.16 @ 153
Got a little out of line in second and had to let up slightly.
Really wanted an 1/8 mile ET and MPH but did not get a reading as the front wheels were still off the ground.
I never let the facts get in the way of a good story.

Nice!

So the question is was he (Odell) using StageII heads or the GN-1's?? Either way that is gettin' it done!:D

I'm bettin on the Stage 2's....Odie still need a little suspension work?

Was that "YOUNG MAN"...

wearing his fire suit with "suspenders";)
Good job OC !

Lee,
What track? Muncie or indy? Who in the area can build a good transmission? My brother has a Reptoid 200 that is giving him fits. Has all the good parts, but wont shift until 4000 rpm at light throttle.

Muncie

Muncie
Are you wanting a GOOD 2004R or a 400?
Lonnie Dyers for either.
I have a GOOD 2004R--everything in it except the billet peices.
Altos, wide band, billet anchor pin, built pump, deep pan, and the list goes on.

I'm from Cambridge City originally, and my brother's t-type is there. He lives here part of the year and in Cambridge during the summer. He takes the car to muncie several times during the summer. He's on the fence when it comes to a 200 vs a 400. I'm pushing him in the direction of a 200. He talked to lonnie and lonnie didn't want anything to do with "fixing" his 200. He said he'd hook him up with a top notch 200 for around $2500. I can understand lonnie not wanting to mess with someone else's trans. My brother is just having a hard time swallowing $2500 for a new tranny that may not hold up for too long. He only has a little te 60 and 009s, but he is looking to step up to a 63, 64, 45 or something of that nature along with 72 lb injectors. I'm trying to find a slightly used setup off the parts for sale section, but nothing has really come up that fits his needs.

He has a bone stock 200 that needs rebuilt and this 200 raptoid that shifts nice at WOT, but at part throttle it shifts no lower than 4000 rpm and snaps your neck. We've had it out of the car 3-4 times and the local guru mechanic seems to think something was drilled out making the case useless.

I never said I would not fix. I have fixed evey 200 builders trannys at one time or another. They may have fixed one of mine who knows. I have many trannys in the mid nines and have a one year warranty as well. I priced a trans with a tranny brake and that was $2850. A replacement trans is $1995 with no core. I have repaired the raptor trannys before. They are not much. I would be more than glad to repair your trans. I just was not asked to.

Sorry Lonnie,
I wasn't trying to say anything bad about you at all. I know you have a very good reputation. It was actually my buddy in Indiana that talked to you, so that was a little misleading. Although my buddy is the one that said you didn't want to fix it. I'll have to slap him around for that! ;) I also didn't mean to say that your trans wouldn't hold up, my brother's fear is that he'll drop that much into a 200 and then regret not going to a 400. My buddy that you talked to is an old school chebby 350 guy who just built a 450 hp NA 350 chebby for a 69 camaro and their putting a 400 behind it. He keeps pushing my brother towards the 400 and I'm pushing him towards the 200. I did look at the raptoid build and it isn't a really big step over stock. So, what do you suggest we do? I'm very open to suggestions.

Your buddies car will be slower with a 400 in it, rather than a properly working 200. That's the main reason why I still have one of Lonnie's 200's behind my Stage 2. Scott

OC,

The PT 88 should not be confused with the GT 4788. The Mid-Frame PT88 is very familiar to every one, and is a T4 type flanged turbo.
The GT 4788 is a T5/T6 type large flanged turbo with larger compressor housing etc.

Legality of this turbo for TSO has not been established, since the rules seem to be a little vague. I guess when someone shows up with one on a Full Stage II Headed engine and really shows the potential of 1500hp vs 1200-1250 of the standard PT88 Midframe, it will get some attention:eek:

I guess it would be great for the Stage II headed Cars, but probably bad news for GN-1 Cars. Just my opinion:rolleyes:

I am not calling you a liar, but I have NEVER seen a car CARRYING the wheels at the 1/8th mile point, unless it was made to do so!

PLEASE PROVE IT, i.e. vid.
