Hi all. Im thinking of of running a new downpipe to an electric cutout/dump and keeping my factory exhaust system to keep things quite on the street. This way ill have a free flowing system when i race and original sound and looks.
My question is will i have to retune for when the dump is open being im running through factory exhaust?

Some guys get an increase of a couple lbs boost by running with an open exhaust (especially if the exhaust sytem is restrictive). You may have to tune for this increase in boost.

Since you have PAC alky, if it goes up some in boost you should be alright, just watch the KR. With the hooker exhaust vs. open dump pipe, I only get around 1# and just a little leaner 10.8:1 vs 10.4:1 with it closed.

I run the same setup, an electric dump on the stock exhaust. I don't even bother going wot with the dump closed cause it's such a big difference between the two. When I start doing some fine tuning this year it'll be with the dump open.

I've found absolutely no difference in performance on my car between opening and closing the dump...I like it better closed...car is quiet and stealthy...plus I can't hear squat with the dump open...

Wow most people iv talked to and posts iv read claim that they have gained in the quarter mile with et and mph.
