I never see anyone put blanket type shield on their turbos. I wonder why? Anyone have any experiences with one?....good or bad. thanks.

After some research,i can see why alot of people dont have one...a good one can be around 300.oo. jegs has cheapys for 40.00 but i imagine you get what you pay for!anyone ever try to use the blanket and also the shield? This would keep the heat down and still look good.
This is made by DEI. It is made out of fabric made from crushed lava rock.
I have one. Keeps the under hood heat down some, and covers up the rusty turbine side.

I have had it installed for 3 years, I don't drive in the rain, it looks like new still. I put them on every car I build.
Do you use the T3 or T4? How well do they fit? Did you have to trim it/them?
