Is anyone here using a turbonetics GT-K series? From what I've heard and been able to gather they are good units. Just wondering if they work well on the turbo Buicks. I know that the ported compressor housings are supposed to help with part-throttle surge pretty well, does anyone have any feedback good, bad or indifferent? Thanks.

I just purchased the t-72 bb q trim with the F1 wheel, not the GT-K. It spools faster than my t-70 standard bearing turbo and makes great power. I have not put it to the test yet but it feels great. I will post some new times when I get them.

Really?

Really, no one is running one of these? I swear I saw on here someone with a GT-K 650 listed in their sig. Mabey the lack of response is the answer to my question.

I'm the one that sold most if not all of them, to be honest, I don't think anyone has been to the track yet...

Jack, I think you you are correct, at least in my case:biggrin:
I will post my results as soon as my motor is done.

I should have some numbers in a few weeks, tuning the car on a dyno...hoping for 600+ rwhp.

Time to update this bad boy. Okay, its been almost two months, anybody been to the track (or dyno) yet?

I am done installing the new combo with the GTK-850 S-trim, still breaking in the motor with a few 13-15lb blasts. Spool up is great using a PTC 9.5" 3400 n/l converter. I am scheduled to dyno the combo in 3-weeks and will report the results. My butt dyno is telling me this thing is making more power at 15# than it did before at 20# boost.

Yep, thanks Allen, we made the 16 car field at Pinks All Out at Etown with a 9.91@133mph on 17lbs of boost with a GTK72BB. The car is running great and we expect to turn the wick up soon as the owner needs to get his NHRA license...

Wow nice. Jack got any pics of the car?

Here are a few pics of my new setup with the GTK72BB, specs are in my sig.

Thanks, dyno time is scheduled in approx. 2 weeks and then Test n tune August 22nd. A high 9sec pass would be sweet! My old combo with a stock bottom end, GN1s and a GTK66BB netted a 10.8 @ 20#boost, this one "feels" faster at 15# and I haven't even floored it yet! :D
