Ordered an overnight Sat delivery to finish a car his weekend.
Just checked the tracking number and it appears they attempted
to deliver it this morning at 11:45 and no one was here to sign for it.
I have been here since around 9 am cars in the lot,all the lights on.
This guy did not even drive by!!!!
I am cancelling my account(i know that means **** to them)

You should be able to get them to come back.
Or in your case come for the first time.

yes they do. I've had to track my packages down consistently, usually a week after it's supposed to arrive I end up complaining at the main office as they find my package. It's old.

UPS and USPS both suck in my book.

But what it really comes down to is the people doing the delivery, where i'm at now the UPS guy is great he has never in the past 4 years failed to deliver a package to me.

The USPS guy was a different story he wouldn't even attempt to deliver my packages and would just put a notice in my mail box that he tried but i wasn't home. He did that one time to many and i chased him down one Saturday when he put the notice in the box and i heard him, he did it so fast and was gone before i could walk to the door. But i did chase him down and got my package and i told him to expect a complaint to be made by me on the following Monday and i did, this was the second time he did this in a 2 week period and i was at home waiting for the packages each time. He no longer delivers to my area, haven't seen him for some time now i don't now what happened to him nor do i care. I like the lady who delivers now she does the job!!! the way it's supposed to be done.

2 of 3 pieces i needed today, i had the owner hunt down the 2 in CT,he had to drive an hour away to get them and finished his motor and will install it tomorrow,of course we paid more locally but whatever at this point. I want the car finished and gone tomorrow.
I did call UPS and they said there is no way to contact the driver and said they would have someone call me on monday,I told her I dont need a call on monday,by then the parts will be here.
I am just pissed because there is no way in hell this guy came to my shop today. the garage door was open and there were a few people there.

FedEx is not much better, Ask GNBRETT about the recent "attempted delivery" for something he ordered from me. Like someone mentioned, not necessarily the company's fault but the individual doing the delivery.

You should have seen the blinds I ordered that UPS tried to deliver...they looked like a boomerang when he pulled them out of the truck...

That's why it took me 5 months to get a dog house from RJC UPS kept saying they deliverd it the driver shows up at the house and says I NEVER CAME HERE :( Then it took for ever for the insurance and tracking RJC went above and beyond what they had to do to help. So yea UPS sucks

a few things on this UPS sucks thing.
1) ""we have no way of getting in touch with our driver""--- BULL SH**!!! this is 2010

2) if you think about how many packages UPS moves & how many either get screwed up, either by mistake or lazyness from an employee, I bet it is less than .001%. I know how frustrating it is needing that box NOW & it don't show up.

I ordered a tiffanys pendant for my wife for giving birth to our first child, and someone at UPS stole it right out of the box! They delivered it to me empty with nothing but shredded packaging inside. The driver said it happens at the large warehouses. His recommendation is to overnight everything if you value it because it touches many less hands and it better tracked.

Im a driver for UPS and believe me they have direct contact with all drivers. Our boards that we dlvr from are linked via satelite to the office and we communicate by simply messaging eachother. That driver must have went to the wrong house or you would have to have a yellow delivery notice somewhere. Ive been on my route for 5 years and my customers wont ship fedex, or USPS because I treat them right. Its all about having a good driver but still packages do get damaged everyonce in a while. Sorry about your bad luck.

Funny to hear you say that. I remember me and you exchanging word over a post like this where you spoke down on the USPS. I agree, its not the company its the person. I know a few of the UPS drivers in my area and they like when me and my local friends order hot rod stuff. They go out of their way to make sure we get our stuff. I had a buddy that ordered an exhaust for his Cobra. The UPS man carried it all the way down the driveway and put it up on his deck(6 or 7 car lengths and 6 stairs). Mine always hides mine out if sight on the porch. The mailman does the same:).

You will find lazy people in every profession. They can charm their way through the inital interview and wiggle their way out if situations where corrective actions need to be issued. I work for the USPS and I see more things like this in a week than most of you do in a year.

Oh... and I would not go getting into confrontations with the carriers, that can get real ugly. May want to read up on that for those of you that want to do it.

It is a business not a house and the number is cleary on the building, this guy did not come by! Like i said the garage door was open and there were atleast 3 people there including myself.
Now you sit an tell me they CAN contact the driver,I was nothing but completely nice on the phone with the woman I talked to,she put me on hold to talk to someone and came back and told me there was no way to contact the driver and that I would be contacted on monday when someone got my complaint.

Yes they absolutley can contact the driver! Im just being honest. They communicate with us through a diad via an OMS message. Its just like a text message. The diad is the machine we carry around that you sign. There is no way not to get messages that I am aware of. Sorry about what happened but I dont think you are getting told the truth. Besides, what driver would not carry a cell phone around in case of an emeregency or to get directions. On saturdays, they usually have new drivers or students delivering the NDA because us route drivers only work m-f.

Got a call from UPS today and explained the situation, they are pissed also.
Said they can track the drivers truck from sat and see if he was in the area and if not its grounds for termination.
The also said (as i was told here) they can contact the driver at any time also and do not know why i was told they could not.
