Turbo is a PTE 71hpqbb.

Is there an adapter that clamps to the hot side and then weld a custom DP to the adapter? How does this work? Options? Hoping to get a 3.5-4" DP made. Thanks!

thats a 3" vband on the exh housing , what i did for my ttop was cut off the flange lip on the housing and had a 3.5 vband flange welded to the housing
then went with the gn1/huefmann 3.5" vband Dp that comes with a 3.5 vband flange

on another install i left the turbo housing as is and cut the 3.5 flange off the huefman pipe and welded on a 3" vband flange

image.jpg Thanks Pacecarta, I had the housing ceramic coated and I'd rather not cut anything at this point. Would something like this work?
It's a 3" band to 4" pipe.

Thanks

problem is anything you use to adapt swings the pipe out further
you could weld a 3.5 flange to a 3" flange , clamp the 3 side to turbo and clamp the 3.5 to the huefman pipe but even just getting the adapter down to the minimum height to allow for both clamps moves the pipe out and creates major issues that you need to be able to weld to fix , and if you can weld then fix the pipe flange or the housing flange

when your done just run a blanket and you wont see the housing or the weld

this is the huefmann pipe with the housing welded , be forewarned the pipe swings way out and requires a considerable cutting to the plastic wheelhouse , price of being different with a 4bolt

it does fit with the a/c box but good luck if you want the a/c to function because i dont see where the dryer would work unless you bend it out toward fender a little

That looks great. I will be running the Vintage Air so maybe I'll have a little extra room.

Thanks!
