looking to come up with some solid data here on vigilante converters and combinations. Could all the vigilante owners post the stall they are getting on the foot brake with each pump type, and rpm drops on the shifts, and there60', et and mph they are getting.

I have to do this since i dont know what pump to use anymore

Post stall speed and boost psi....... otherwise the data is meaningless.

Best to ask for stall speed at 0psi, 5psi, and 10 psi.......

Bob

Thats what i mean boost psi also

........I'm callin' precision.........

I'm calling them rite now to find out about their pumps verus stall speed........

a 0 pump should be 3000 stall but more like 2500 at 1 lb. boost on most i have installed. norbs--what is your combo?

I have a bad situation, i currently have a -7 pump and last year the stall speed was about 4200 rpm on the foot brake max before the tires spun about 13 psi, this year doing the same test its 5200 rpm on the footbrake, same boost level. The car has gone 10.4 with this converter switching from a -6 pump to the -7 pump. The car ran 11.0s before with the -6. Now at 25 psi boost the rpm drop on the shift is zero, i shift at 6k and 2nd gear and thrid gear it stays at 6000 thoughtout the run, when i hit the lock up in 3rd it drops from 6000 to 4700 rpm, so i am assume the stall is now 6000 rpm at 25 psi boost level, way too much. I have tried launching the car at zero psi 1.67 60' now, 5 psi 1.67 60" and 10 psi 1.67 60', it seems the car revs but doesn't go. I think the converter has gone south. There has to be a sign the converter is no good, could this be it?

yes it sounds like the fins bent over. i have done the same thing in the past with the same converter. at what gear and speed do you lock up the converter? going down the track?

after i hit 3rd gear, not before, and about 85 mph . Well its going back to precision for a checkout, on warrenty of coourse. I have ordered a 9/11 converter instead and going to test all its rpms also

thread back from the dead.....

My "0-pump" vigilante 5 disk gets between 3600-3800 RPM per my DS log @ 10 psi (with the stock turbo and longblock).
