My son has a rectangular 18 x 36 25k gallon pool with a badly wrinkled liner that's pulled loose from one corner. No leaks and he can't afford to replace it, so we are going to try to stretch and rehang it. Any tips much appreciated!
I know a professional installer. He's a buddy of mine. This is an odd way to get ahold of him, but it's a sure fire thing. He knows the real deal. Go to Softball Fans - Softball's Home Team, and register. Its a board very much like this one, but for softball players. (like myself) look for the guy named pylon00. His name is sean, and he was my pitcher for a while. He's squared away, and is a pro pool guy. He's not going to recognize this name, so just tell him tony from weezy T sent you. He'll know then who I am.
Well, we drained and cleaned it, but there's prolly 8" of water trapped under (and floating) the deep end around the drain. Can't even see the drain at all! Can't tell if it's even attached any more, it may have pulled through the liner or pulled out the PVC piping. My vac won't pull the head necessary to clear the water. We almost punched a hole near the drain to clear it out, but since we couldn't even get the coping off, it would have been a waste of time. Guess it's time for Dad to float a loan...
sorry i thought youd get some good advice.
never drain a liner pool..........
if you havent filled it yet put 2 wet vacs on the inside of the liner and let them remove as much as the air as poss.
work out the wrinkles you wont get htem all.
once the liner is streched "new" its a bit#h to get right agian.
