What setup would I need to get my 87 in the very low 10s I have a t66 w/frount mounted inner cooler 42lbs injectore and welbro 340.running 15lbs of boost with bad slicl the best I could do was 8.13 in the 8th.I thimk I'm going to need a stronger tranny.need help all the race guys are calling me out

I have 42lbs injectore and welbro 340.running 15lbs of boost
good heads ported (easier would be aluminums ) ,better head gaskets than stock (cometic or rjc) , good arp head fasteners, better cam (consider going roller) , suspension (springs, control arms , swaybar ,shocks, brakes), sticky tires ( mt radials), stout transmission (from a good builder or go th400) , converter that will hold up to over 600hp (Dusty's ptc 9.5 is the shiznit), upgraded rear axles (moser /strange), race gas or alky , good working ignition (consider he TR6 from bailey) ,
plan on upgrading the rotating assembly with forged parts minimum pistons and center mains , lots of tuning and logging...

and double of what you listed as your current parts
83 injectors (or 80s) , twin 340 pumps and with the 66 you be near 30psi on the boost

Just use the forum to search because this has been talked about for years..... Several people have different ways or ideas to get there however take your time, search the forum for the DOs and DONTs and you will figure it out and be successful....

Yea I here y'all on the money.do it sound like my set is running the right # for what I have or should it be better.its not many turbo buick in my area to compart to

what combo? you mentioned a t66 with 42s walbro 340 and a front mount that ran high 12s with 15psi and a bad slic

not much of a combo or performance info to go on

with enough boost and a chip that can max out the 42s low 11s are possible even with the stock engine /heads/cam but that wont happen at 15psi more like 28psi on stock heads ..and it wont happen without a good hook and a matched converter . if the converter is stock the t66 will make the car slower in the bottom half of the track than if it were running a stock turbo and would be much quicker on the street with a ta49
on ported heads (champion irons) the 66 at 28-30 psi could support low 10s but youll need an exceptional hook ,matched converter and more fuel ( big injectors and two pumps)

You have a low 10 second turbo with the supporting parts to go mid 11's or so. I don't think an 8.13 is near the potential of what you have, but with only 15 psi your time seems accurate. Add more boost and I don't see why mid to low 11s aren't possible. You need alcohol injection. To run low 10s you are going to need some motor work.
