Water temp on scanmaster was 174 at the time of my last test FYI....
runs after were about 200-208 but it all feels the same.


Should I just raise the boost up as long as knock stays away to get the performance back ?

If everything else is up to par and your alky is working right, yes. You need to cram more in when the air isn't as dense, but the alky, if set up right, should make the car pretty much the same all the time. I don't notice much power drop at least in the summer months. How much boost are you running your te44 @ now?
 
When my car was running sluggish, I always figured it was due to the transmission temps heating up. Running a stock radiator wouldn't be helping it much I'm sure. I'm not as bright as most when it comes diagnosing other's issues with "seat of the pants" changes. I do hope you get this figured out so I can know what to look forward to when I finally start running higher boost!:)

about 21-22 PSI it peaks at first then settles back a pound or so.
When it ran good it would hit 24 then settle about 22-23 after about a second.
As far as I can tell the alcohol system is working perfect.
No knock retard basically since it was installed.
I sometimes get a .5 on the 1-2 shift or if it spins hard on rough pavement ... Did when it was cool out anyway.
I doesn't spin hard now that its hot out...
I have the alcohol spraying in the bottom of the bend of the up pipe leading to the throttle body I see some put it on the side of the up pipe.
I don't see why that would matter.

How do I check to make sure the knock sensor is working ... just got me worried...now I guess.
I think id popped a head gasket by now though if it were detonating.

Back on a cool day in the spring it pulled at 1/2 throttle like it does at full throttle now it feels like !!!

Car runs perfectly smooth no issues at all other than feeling wimpy.

Get it back to 24psi and it'll feel good again.
 
Ok I went 1.5 turns tighter on the boost rod ...
I did not get to drive it yet. I think I've made the rod about as short as it will go i dont see any threads behind the locking nut now so this is about all the boost I can get I guess.
 
Drove the car to church this morning with the wife and girls in the back seat.
I hit it from a 20 mph roll and it spun into second and felt better.
Passed a truck at 45 and it pulled decent felt stronger but the temp was probably 80-84 not 95 this morning.
Zero knock still boost seemed to be about 23 I was watching the road and I was only on it for s couple seconds each time.
Car drives nice comfy good AC, but I guess my experience with my 455 pontiacs torque makes it feel weak maybe.
I wonder if a better turbo would help or do I need dome aluminum heads, I don't think I can get any more boost as I think the waste gate Is maxed out.

If your talking one run from the next that was starting from cold engine and it rose after about 3 runs and a 5 mile drive along the way.
