This is car related. For me, it would be:

1) My car (just won't happen, never has, never will)
2) My slicks (made that mistake last week) damn near smoked them
3) My trailor (made that mistake last week)

But hey, you live and learn. Now its not an option. You want it, go buy it.

won't loan out.........

my mig welder
my plasma cutter
in fact any tools !!!!!!!!!
no on the trailer, tires, fuel tank, ( too late) ( its in china now!)
anything expendable, as usually its is expended!
won't loan out the dog either,

WILL loan out the girl friend, ( but you wouldn't want her, ha ha ha )

do not tell wife about girl friend!!!!!!

engine cranes... had one here forever.. lent it to a friend and got it back with a junk piston... obviously he tried to lift the car with it

never lend your car or your women,, somebody will throw a rod in one of them

I'll loan anything out under one condition. You have to borrow everything at the same time and have the girlfriend load it up and unload it for you.

It's so much convenient getting the insurance company to believe that the girlfriend stole all of your stuff when you kicked her to the curb.

BTW I just renewed my homeowners policy again. You know the first time around I didn't even think about my tools and junk. Than I went and bought enough crap to build my dream garage when I bought the house. After the last real estate boom down here I relized I'd be up chit creek if some criminals came garage shopping. If only I could have predicted the current housing slump. What a waste of money. Oh well. It looks like I'm back to abnormal untill the prices adjust themselves again after the election.

Never

I will never lend out my Wilson A2000 baseball glove. It took me 35 years before I acquired it, I have it broke in just the way I like it, so nobody is gonna put their slimey @ss hand in my A2000. Sorry guys its a baseball thing, but its my first love!

I rarely loan anything out. It can't sleep when my tools are with someone else. NEVER a car!!! period. It would be a strange thing if you had to send your insurance company after a friend if they damaged a car and didn't want to pay. My rule when I borrow something is to always return it in better condition than I received it and if it runs on gas, fill it up.

My brothers friend just called me at lunch time asking if I could lend him my trailer this weekend. I directed him to this thread on the board. So Andy, if your reading this, you need to get a head start and drive that puppy to the track or go buy one your damn self, Biatch:D I only get kicked in the balls once, unless your my wife. I gotta ask periodicaly if I can have my balls back out of her purse:redface:

i also agree.. i used to loan my trailer out to any friends that needed it.. But things have changed, and i will never loan it out again..

You ever noticed how you can use your own trailer for years, and nothing ever comes back broken or damaged.. But as soon as somebody borrows it, it comes back with something screwed up or missing.. On our local forum i posted when i sold my old car hauler and had ordered a new one and said ....
Just so all you people know up front.. My new car hauler is not for loan or rent, so please dont even ask..

My boat! $500 SS prop, and mangled $800 prop shaft! Had to make my own tools to fix the thing! Never again!

Very true. We (it was my dad's) had a old trailer a couple years ago. We always stuck our necks out to help friends who wanted to get to the track. At the end of the year, the tires were showing belts on the inside from all the turning being done, the brakes were shot, and the indicator lights did not work. So I got a quote for $800 to address all these issues. I told the guy I would bring the trailer by next week to fix everything. So I call the guy up and he said to bring it by. Cool, I jumped in the truck to head to the house to get it. When I got there all I saw were a bunch of foot prints where our trailer used to be. Never seen it since. I won't make that mistake the 2nd time around (especailly since I paid for it). If my buddies want to make their cars fast, they better factor in the cost of a trailer too, or don't build something that they can't fund themselves, cause that ship has long saled away.

My buddy asks me to borrow my hunting rifle (Browning A-bolt chambered in a .280 Remington w/ Leupold 3X9X50), so I get it out of the case and I ask him "do you like it", he says yes, I tell him it only cost me around $1200. He says "I sure don't have $1200", so I tell him to go and sell that piece of $hit Ford parked in front of my house for $1200, and get himself his own fu#$ing gun....
