Nah...it was on the floor. I know this is a hotly-debated topic but if you google "battery myths" and "does storing a battery on the ground discharge it faster" you will see that storing a battery on concrete does not harm them.

Now, having said that I store my deep-cycle batteries on a board but more because it keeps them out of the water that collects in that part of the garage during the humid months.

I plan to do a test once I get back from my camping trip next month.

I will place both my deep-cycles on the ground next to each other after fully charging them. I will have one on a 4x6 and the other on concrete. I will measure the charge right then and once a week for the next 3 months or until I need them again for camping. I will find out if the one on concrete discharges any quicker.
