I personally like them although I know some Buick and Pontiac guys look at them as sort of the red headed bastard child.

I think a TTA is the best musclecar for all around power and handling ever! Buick power... easy to modify in the 10's... with WS6 road handling and 4 wheel disc brakes. Same initial cost as a GNX but underappreciated. GNX prices were stagnant for years and now have jumped up and I think in the future TTA's will appreciate in value also.

Always been a T/A fan, as long it BOP powered;) Fell in love with the TTA after modding one for a customer in 91. Seems like every time I turn around another one is getting parted or crashed.

Looks Nice, Cool Engine, Quicker than the GTA.
Too bad its hard for me to get in and out of at my height.

bought a new one in 89. wellll the WIFE bought a new one :p We have had all sorts of muscle cars BUT the TTA was the most fun !! Car was a few days old and had 300 miles on it when it hit the track!! 12.5s the first day out.. Wife always had new f body's (82, 83, 84, 86, 88) .. The summer of 89 the 88 was stolen. (what a shocker.. #1 stolen car for around here for a while) . Bought the TTA and damm was it fun playing with the Mustangs!! for years ya had to hang your head down at a stoplight when a Mustang was beside ya. (YES they would KILL an f body... well till the TTA) .. 99% of car guys had NO idea what a TTA was .. so we showed them :p Oh you should have heard the purist TA lovers when they saw me beating on this new car
...oh I hope my Mazda/Buick is as much fun as the TTA

You kidding me? hmmm let's see. Own a brick they made over 20,000 of them in 1987 or own a car that is 1 of 1550 and the best platform for that drive line ever???!!! It's a totally different car and can't compare. It's the best I've ever had the pleasure of owning! I've owned several Trans AM's over the years and I've always had a love for the Pontiac T/A in general because they made them much better then Buick, Olds, and or Chevy IMO. When you sit in a TTA and drive a TTA you see everything Buick should have done. Gauges, luxury, power, handling, creature comforts, and everything but a cup holder!

While I love the black bricks I own nothing compares to a 1989 Pontiac turbo Trans Am! I really wish Pontiac would have done their own version of it. All Pontiac, because I think it would have worked if they could have kept the price in range of the working man back then but there is nothing like it.

Most TTA guys can be found here as well.. Turbo Trans AM.Com

Have owned them both, and loved both equal for their own attributes.

If 2 equal 1000 mile cars were side by side I would pic the GN because of my size. 6'2" and 235 lbs:eek: made the TTA a little uncomfortable.

If I had a garage to keep it in, I would own a TTA in addition to my WH1. I got the Buick to daily drive AND have fun with. A TTA I would want to keep for perfect days only.

TTAs are a blast to drive !! Especially after driving Buicks :p My wife would wear out the front tires ( liked to take exit ramps like you want to) and I would take care of the rears

I'ld love to own one. Maybe some day.

LOVE em! One day, I intend on adding one to be a stable mate to the GN. Knowing me, it will get a color change. So it will probably piss off the purists. But a GNX styled TTA will look sooooo bad ass. :D

I like everyting about the TTA but the ride. I know it can take corners an the GN cant. The GN rides like a caddy down I-95 though

You kidding me! I'm 6'2" and 265! Me getting into a TTA is like jamming 50lbs of $hit into a 5lb bag!! ;) Once I'm in the car I love it. I just roll out of it onto the ground makes things much more easy! I feel so bad for my leather I recline the drivers seat all the way before I get in the car and then I bring it up once I'm in the seat. Then I recline it all the way before I get out. And if that's not enough I put conditioner on the seat after I put the car away every time! Trying to make those bolsters nice!

How can you not like it if your on this forum? Im sure they really burned up a lot of die hard Pontiac fans when it came out Buick powered and woudl lay waste to anything they previously made with about a half hour worth of modifications.

hahahaha Well when I woned the TTA I was tapping 265:eek: and I KNOW EXACTLY what you mean about rolling out on the ground haha... take care J.C.

I've always wanted one but the GN's were much easier obtainable and cheaper to buy. On the other hand, they were unappreciated by most since they really did'nt know what it was other that your everyday TA. Of course all my GN's were mistaken for MC SS's more than I car to remember.
