What would you pay for this GN

Found a GN in the badlands of Philly. It's bone stock with a repaint not the best job but not bad. I think it's more like a 90K car rather then 60K as per carfax reports and general condition. Moon Roof car so that is a plus but it looks to have some slight surface rust issues there. There is some monster system in the car as it sits. Intercooler scoop is torn off. It's got a brand new hood on it as there is a fresh part number sticker on it and it looks like some work had been done on the header. It's got a new exhaust and battery. Let me know what you guys think a reasonable offer is to make on it. Here are some pics...

Well, despite the small defects, I think it's not too bad...Believe me, I've seen much worse than that here in Canada!... As for it's value, I dunno...I'd say somewhere around $10,000. ...

I'm in the same ballpark as Claude, I was going to say 9-10k. The rust on the doors will need to be treated immediately to try to slow it down and stop it from coming to the outside of the door. The interior looks okay but I've seen cleaner. Engine looks okay but pretty dirty. Underside of car looks decent, typical surface rust nothing awful. Wheels look great.

ok that's what I thought as well. I'm with you guys on the price. The only thing I don't like is it looks like it was rolled back at one point from the carfax. When you see that you might as well put the mileage in a hat and pick it. As far as the sound system.. well it's in the badlands of Philly. You could call the area little Puerto Rico.

Here are some more pics.. Look at the wire for the amps. You could weld with that friggin thing! lol Almost looks like someone clear coated the engine bay with all the gunk on it too.

I don't know how they got this in there. One thing is for sure.. the sound system is amazing. I think the bass threw my back out while sitting in the car! lol

I think he wants 13,500 for it. Just kinda feels like one of those ones where you buy it and say what the hell did I just buy that for! I think I'm having buyers remorse already and I didn't even make him a offer yet! lol Thanks again for the input keep it comin!

For 13,500 I know where one is that's all original
and slick 100k but fresh repaint no reason to repaint just tired paint laser straight and clean.
I was looking at it when I found my new one.
0 mods hardtop.

FYI 8k at most,he can keep the booooom box.

That's what I was going to say haha. Don't let him use the stereo as a leverage point on the price. Tell him the stereo isn't a selling point for you.

ya he could keep the system for sure. by the way, dont trust carfax, my carfax shows a 30k jump in one year but the dated service reciepts matched the odometer. if the car drives well and appears maintained, there isnt much difference between 60 and 90k. ive seen low mile cars that looked like the were ONLY driven in the winter!

I wouldn't trust carfax any further than I could throw the piece of paper it printed on.
My 86 (I'm the original and only owner) shows up with odo tampering and a bunch of other stupid stuff that never happened.

CARFAX sux, plain and simple.

Offer him 9.5 and tell him he can keep the junk in the trunk.

If you like the sound and it has a good head unit and all, offer him $10K to $10.5K for everything.

You could always shrink the subwoofer box or go to a single if there's too much bass already.

Besides, when you get to be mine and grumps age, things like that are a naturally occuring phenomenon in our peripheral vision.

That doesn't look like a factory CF5 astroroof either. Either somebody covered up the emergency crank hole when they glued a new headliner in or I don't know what a factory unit looks like. I see some issues up in the hinge pillars and A-pillar post. How badly did they butcher up the trunk with those speaker boxes? I see a reman stamp on the MAF. I dont think it's worth more than $7K sitting as it is. Even less if there is big rust issues hiding.
