I have been tossing around the idea of adding a low miles GN to the stable here. What is everyones opinion in the longterm of what will be valuable / desirable? I am having trouble deciding between TTOP, Hardtop and Moonroof cars. What have your experiences been with each?

I am not planning to mod the car I purchase but want something I can flip a few years down the line and not take a loss and be desireable to a broad audience.

A lot of that is personal preference a low mile hard top car non modded is always desireable On the flip side astro roof and t-top cars have thier own set of fans too..It seems that with these cars if its high mileage but its really nice and tastefully modded it will sell well also...

there are way better ways to make money than investing in automobiles. That said, I would buy one could enjoy as there is no guarantee you can even break even and get your money back out. maintenance, storage and general up keep will eat into the profit you intend to make.

Buy what you like in case you have to take a bath with it. at least you will have enjoyed it while you had it.

Ya but now a days its better to invest in your car than ur house lmao!!!

Using the term invest when speaking of putting money into either of those avenues is a bad terminology in my opinion. One might spend money on those things, but when I invest, I want a return on that investment. Trying to get a return on your living arrangement or your transportation is very "iffy".

Remember your assets put money in your pocket. When your banker says your house is an asset he isn't lying. It is his asset as it is putting money in his pocket, not yours. Just as any asset it has to add money to your pocket, not take it out as an expense does.

I'm pretty sure that the moonroof will be most desirable, as long as it all works and doesn't leak. Parts are getting scarce for the moonroof. T tops have their own set of fans indeed. When I bought, I looked over many hardtop cars looking for t tops. As they age they are transitioning from drag cars and daily drivers, to cruise night/poker run/show cars, and a lot more people in that crowd will want or at least tolerate the t tops.

After cutting in a new roof metal, all new SS hardware, new gm weather stripping and lining it all up, the TTops are great to have! Looking forward to having them off in FL's winter season.
