Lol.... are you serious? That would last about (30) seconds imo.

Boxing makes up only (1) aspect of MMA. It would take a fighter having more then (1) skill to beat what many consider the the best pound for pound fighter in the world along with Anderson Silva who would also kick Mayweathers ass.

All he has to do is take him to the ground and the fight is over. But I think St. Pierre would take him standing up with his viscious kicks but the ground and pound would simply end that fight in under a minute imo.

Boxing is simply LAME compared to MMA. MMA simply requires a much more well rounded athlete to compete at that level.

I would think even a moderately skilled MMA fighter would destroy Mayweather in an MMA fight.

MMA for Beer drinkers? What a schmuck!! Yeah mayweather the octagon is full of out of shape white beer drinkers !! I can think of one beer drinking white Dope (Dork Lesner).. Myweather, I would LOVE to see this idiot in the octagon with St Pierre or even Uriah Faber, Stephen Bonar, Forest Griffin. Yeah, Boxing is a sport and it takes skills BUT it does NOT compare to the skills needed to be at a competitive level in MMA.

Beer drinkers! ssshhhhh..

In an MMA fight St Pierre Wins. In a Boxing match Mayweather wins easily. I am tired of hearing boxing vs. MMA. THEY ARE TWO DIFFERENT SPORTS!!!!!!! I am a huge fan of both. I have to admit, I am more of a boxing fan, but I have followed MMA, since day one. I believe that boxers are more skilled in their profession. Boxing has been around for 100yrs. Its been perfected, where as MMA is still somewhat new. Look at it this way, Brock Lesnar is in his 30's, and fought a handful of times, and is now the Heavyweight champion of the world. Can anyone do this in any other Professional sport? Of course not, because the level of competition is too high. In 100yrs MMA will be perfected, and there will be no more Brock Lesnar type fighters. In my humble opinion a boxer can go a lot further in MMA, than a MMA fighter in boxing. Mayweather is a hard fighter to like with his attitude. But his boxing skills are amazing. A fighter with his skills only come around once in a lifetime. I dont think his defensive boxing style would work very well in MMA. Again just my humble opinion.

X2!!

If you are going to call it a fight it needs to be a fight...

If two dudes get ready to throw blows in the street do you think the are going to stop and debate if they are going off of MMA or Boxing rules:rolleyes:

Sure a MMA fighter couldn't compete as well in a Boxing match. That is like putting a rattle snake in a no biting match:tongue: Just ain't a real fight...

Let Mayweather get in the ring with any of these top MMA guys and he goes out quick...

In a real fight, a street brawl, GSP KILLS him......why?! You dont box in a real fight, you do end up punching, but kicks, and ground and pound would be something Mayweather could not protect himself from....he's never had to. I think GSP has seen some hard punchers (Do we really need to name names?!)a few that punch for punch would give a similar effect to his ability, and GSP took em like a champ.
Homeboy has lost his mind, do you really want GSP, Chuck, Anderson, Rampage, and a host of tough chins coming after you?!

By the way, that is a VERY racist comment, AL Sharpton needs to demand an apology from Mayweather....unless he's a racist too.

Rampage would be a good one to get that

You guys also have to remember Mayweather fights at 147lbs, and started his career at 130lbs. Also remember that MMA's rules effect strikers the most. Boxers are Professional athletes. MMA fighters are not. At least not yet. What I mean by this is because MMA is not at its best just yet. It is too new. Look at how many guys get KTFO. Once MMA hits a higher level, then you will see less of those highlight knockouts.

Again just my opinion, but teach Mike Tyson, Roy Jones JR, James Toney how to sprall, and a little bit of ground game, and they KO the fck out of Rampage, Liddell, and Couture.

As good as Mayweather's boxing skills are, his style is just not made for MMA

If Brock Lesnar can be a champion with less than 5 fights, any professional boxer can also.

Have to disagree here...MMA is in reality fighting in the most basic form with a few rules thrown in, with styles that have been around for 1000's of years.

Why is it that Royce Gracie was working everybody back in the day? Its because people had no clue what BJJ was and "the guard". Yes if you break it down, then there have been different fighting styles for decades, but put it all together and you have something "new". To back this up. Watch UFC 1 to 10, and you will see how much this sport has evolved. I dont believe the Gracie's would be as successful if everyone knew "the guard" back in the days. There was never a sport that had every fighting style in it, so yes it is new. Other than the so called "Kumite", that you might be referring to.

Boxing doesn't have as many knockouts because they don't have to worry about defending kicks/takedowns try shooting in on someone and see if you can defend a punch to the head real well. There are more aspects to MMA if all an MMA fighter had to do was defend head and body shots there wouldn't be as many knockouts.
As much as I hate Brock Lesnar he was like a three time NCAA wrestling champ. Thats not an easy task even for a guy with a giant penis tattoo on his chest.

As far as boxers defending themselves from the ground game and kicks goes, you guys are right. The MMA guys have a definite advantage. But the fight would be hard to predict because a boxer only needs one good shot and its all over. MMA guys don't particularly move their heads too much. And they always say if you don't keep your head moving you opponent will move it for you.

This is true to a point. Also the small gloves play a large roll in the knockouts. But look at Liddell vs. Rampage II, and Rampage vs. Silva III. I dont think anyone was worrying about a takedown or kicks. Those were straight boxing matches, and both ended in Highlight real knockouts. Study the knockouts closely, and you will see where there chins are, and where their hands are, and they are definitely not in the right places, like a boxer would have them.

Dont get me wrong, there are a lot of highlight reel knockouts in boxing too. Just not as much one punch knockouts like MMA, especially amoungst the elite fighters.

Brock has a wrestling background, but have you seen him use any wrestling in any of his fights?

You are totally right about MMA guys not moving their heads. They also stick their chins out too much, and always have their hands below their waist trying to throw haymakers. Thats why their is so many knockouts in MMA. The tiny gloves dont help either.

I forgot about those little gloves. I don't think it would be safe for one of the elite boxers to throw a haymaker with those little gloves. That could be downright dangerous.
And your right about the MMA guys throwing haymakers all of the time. A good boxer would parry and counter those all day. But it would be all about the matchup. Smart boxer vs dumb MMA fighter = boxer win. Dumb boxer vs. Smart MMA fight = MMA win.
