ive got a problem with fitment with the upgraded club rockers from GSCA, stock iron heads, and the RJC rocker supports!

the middle hole seems to be drilled in the incorrect spot-
almost 1/4 of an inch-
with only the outer 2 bolts and supports inplace, the rockers DO NOT RUB against the RJC supports--
once i install the middle bolt with the RJC support 3 out of 6 rockers rub the RJC supports and hang up-
NOT COOL BY ME and this is on both heads~

once i change it back to the stock rockers all 3 of the RJC rocker supports work great, and there is no binding--

NO PUSHRODS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED

i cannot get the rockers to line up with "THE CLUB" upgraded rocker shafts???????????????

im sure someone else has come across this and realized the shafts are made wrong------

possibly mine were made for champion aluminum heads?

G..D... i know im correct cause ive looked this thing over 10 times

Hey Buddy,

They will fit either side, but they need to be oriented the right direction.

I believe you'll find that the rocker shafts are not symmetrical (the middle hole is not actually in the middle). Turn them around the other way and see if the middle hole lines up. If you put them on backwards, the middle hole will be off like you said. What sucks is your going to have to take all the rockers off and turn them around.

Eric

well...no...

i guess i forgot to mention ive tried all the shaft supports on all the pedistals, and, ive tried swapping them side for side

my point is its 1/4 off, and i think there might be a difference if they were ordered for a aluminum head or not???

arent the champion heads supposed to accept all the stock style rockers assy's??

eric-

ive tried side fur side [kansas term]

and the mid hole dont look right its 1/4 hole off-

if i disassemble the shaft, then maybe your right-

ps-
my shafts have a notch on the front Possibly designating front?

WHY WOULD I RECIEVE THEM BACKWARDS?
IM SURE YOUR RIGHT
.... hmmmmmmmmmm

Don't swap side to side. Turn them around so the rockers are backwards, just to see of the middle hole shifts the other way. (Or did you already try that.) The factory rocker shafts have the middle hole shifted to one side.

The alum heads are the same as stock. I'm running stock rockers and shafts on my Gn1's.

eric-

i think you hit the head on the nail here

the rockers were mounted backwards on both shafts and i need to spend superbowl sunday fixing GSCA'S friggin problem-

why i dint figure it out earlier..

your right as always

I hope you can find those little plastic doodads. I don't know if a typical parts store has them. You have to destroy them to get the rockers off.

Buicks are more important than the superbowl..aren't they??:D

Eric

YES THEY WERE BACKWARDS-

on the rockershafts i mounted the pushrod ends to the valve and the valve ends to the pushrod ends, and they mount PERFECTLY

WTF did i recieve some monday friday sh!t or
what???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

I have a bunch of new ones I will not be using if you want them because I went to roller rockers.. I can send them with your wheel emblem if you want. If you need them in a hurry any parts store should have them. Let me know.

What kind of injectors you gonna use in that engine Bryan? You gonna go bigger than 50's? With the girdle and big turbo, you might need a little more.

Eric

actually i will be using 50's
joe and i set a good record with his TTA with stock injectors running 119.8

with mods my car should go possibly more MPH with a good sixty-
i think jim testa has that TRX??

MY combo at 620 horse with the weight im shooting for, the car will go fast as heck- mid 10's with a full weight regal ;)
when i cant make up for injector, ive got the 7th injector setup, alky, or propane...

im not building it for the GSCA, just to have fun and spank the supra's here in kansas city-.....

Goot job Eric, your one hell of a trouble shooter! Took the TTA out on the road yesterday and it ran REAL goot! With the new cam it seems to like the rpm of the unlocked converter, but still runs fine locked. Once I get the new torque arm DS loop placement problem fixed, I'm basically ready for the 2003 race season:) Now the debate of whether or not to jump up to a 3" DP still looms on the horizon??? That OE exhaust has SO many holes in it, it's prolly acting like a 3" DP itself:) I'm definiately going to have to address that small problem soon. Gosh I don't want it to fall off like the GN's exhaust did last year! The only thing left hanging was the muffler that was on B's Dodge untill he went to the BIG 4"... I'm hoping to hit the dyno next week sometime if all the ducks fall into line before then. I'll shoot you an email if I go.

JOEY-
I think you and i need to set another world record for stock cat back and muff setup= maybe 126 this year???? :D

ERIC-
we all need to get together and swap notes :)

thanks for eric

Would be nice, but I think there is more exhaust comming out from all of the holes than from the exhaust tips:)
