I have mine set on 6 with dual nozzles. 100 octane. 27 lbs of boost. A/F ration is 10.5. Sure is a blast on the street. I've never had as much fun as I have been having lately.

Are you using the R chip and what's the timing?I have mine set on 6 with dual nozzles. 100 octane. 27 lbs of boost. A/F ration is 10.5. Sure is a blast on the street. I've never had as much fun as I have been having lately.![]()
Forgot to ask but is your R chip/ECM set up for the WB control?Yes on the "R" chip... 25 degrees timing.
Sounds like I'm in the ballpark. Im down some ET and MPH from my old setup and thought maybe I should go back to 11.1 or so.... Now I'm not so sure.
We run with Julio's kit using dual nozzles and the controller on th max setting. Target is about 10.3-10.5 at 25 psi with about 24-26 degrees of timing. Many cars set up this way with excellent results!
That timing is outrageous! How are you pulling that off? What octane of fuel are you running?
93 octane.. what else![]()

we run the pump at 100% and trim the fuel back, straight racing methanol and 93 octane. You MUST run the a/f a considerable amount more rich with methanol than you would on racing fuel. We use the methanol as a fuel, the cooling benefits are a bonus! It takes alot of dyno time and some creative FAST tuning before you master it.
So I am assuming I will never pull that off with a factory ECM. That is very impressive. One day I will get there.
Thanks for the feedback!
One thing to look at is air fuel as your going down the track. If the air fuel starts to drop the further your in it.. your shooting way too much methanol. I'll see if I can get some datalogs to show this up. Richie's car was spraying way too much.. and his injector duty cycle was constant.. yet the air fuel would drop past the 1000 ft mark.. Turned the gain down a tad.. badabing.. cleaned it up. Last night he ran 9.59 again at 140.xx off the foot brake.
nothing wrong with the stock ecm .
easier to fine tune the fueling with aftermarket like FAST but not impossible on the stock ecm
with a good chip to get it close and gather data then have it reburned based on that data to be that much closer
we also have other fueling adjustment methods available on stock ecm like the maf pro and mer wideband adjustable setup
Im on TT wideband control and stock ecm
Julio, I would love to see that data. I'm assuming Richie has the same ALKY setup as I do. What setting are you guys at?? Lower than 6?? I've been pulling lots of fuel and still running pretty rich (10.5 - 10.7) and was planning on pulling out some ALKY next. I know I'm being conservative with the A/F ... but Russ is right, I am a sissy. At least until the motor is paid off. I would hate to break it while Im still making payments on it.
