why run nos and alky

why do nos and alky can't the nos do what the alk does

Different.

Alky increases octane. Nitrous increases Oxygen(air).

Nitrous will require additional octane when used. As the boost will jump when you hit the button.

Alky gives additional octane so more boost can be run.

Your thinking cooling effect. But cooling alone doesnt allow you to run 30 PSI on 91 octane. Make sense?

yes but i see pepole ued the nos up to like 12bls of boost and then the alky from like 15 bls up can you use at same time

That's to aid in spool up on the line. N20 is not used to take the car down the track - in most cases. Some of the BIG turbo's require a little help during staging.

A 50 shot with a 76 trim turbo is plenty. It will be a tire fryer for sure. With a GTS or larger you may need more N2O on a 231ci.

 

[Alky V6]

Start out with a 50 shot to get your feet wet. It may be enough for you.
