These are brand new and fully tested. (I've got the burns to prove it!)

I just made these up and every cable has been tested with both my laptops before being sent out. I redesigned them a little bit too. Now if your laptop won't power the circuit, I left an external loop that can be cut and powered up with the external 12V supply.

They'll work on almost any GM OBD-1 car as well. Not to mention lots of other programs to choose from with the other GM platforms.

Here's a link to WinALDL and Turbometer Pro if you'd like to check them out first.

It's a simple two wire hookup and one of the wires goes to ground. Total time to hook it up is about 5 minutes.

The software runs fine on XP and OS's as old as 95. If you're laptop is new and doesn't have a serial port you'll have to have a PCMCIA card or a USB adaptor like this one to make it work.

$25 +$5 shipping. My paypal address is earlbrown@mindspring.com If you'd like to use snail mail just let me know.

Wow, that was quick. I just got back from the post office. You should be seeing it by Friday.

I have a compaque armada from 95' and it has windows 98 on it I already downloaded turbometer and tried making a cable twice but no luck the little red light stayed on the screen which means that it does not read that it has been pluged in. what do you think would this computer need outside power, or will one of your plugs work.

MY3TTYPES, I just sent you an email back. I haven't been able to find out if this program will work on the 84 and 85's yet. I know that Turbometer won't as it's set up for the IC cars specifically.

GNjoe86, I can't say without actaully putting my hands on your system. It might need outside power and/or it might be a cable problem.
I didn't build mine exactly like the website shows. Since they have two different circuits for internal and external power I didn't want to spend a bunch of time mailing back and forth. So I made mine to work either way. Basically what I did was make a cutloop with my units. If internal power won't do it, you can cut the loop and apply 12V to see if that works.

Can you open up your D-SUB box and send me a picture of your wiring?

Do you have any of these left? How are the sold ones working? Im interested :)

Yes, I've got more. I had to order more wire as I underestimated how much I'd need.

As far as I know everybody that has one so far is working fine. I test all the cables before I box them up.

I'm pretty sure if one didn't work, they'd send me an IM.

I has a couple people PM needing help setting up thier laptop settings. Most of the problems were stull like screensavers covering up the program and finding the data that WinALDL logs (that's why I wrote the two articles).

Cool,
I will paypal you for 1 unit. You should have it by nights end..
Thanks

PS are you going to do a write up on the Turbometer program ?

do youhave any more of these or are you planning on making anymore? interested in a couple of them.

?2?

Do they come in blue? Can't do red...long story. I have both an 84 and an 86, would I need 2? How steep would that be $? PayPal ok? Eager but no hurry.
