Tried installing powerlogger using the latest version on a computer using the new windows 8 OS. I am getting a error......
PLC access violation at address 0052EC40 in module PLC.exe read of address 0000002C"

Seems to be a driver issue. I followed the manual driver install procedure for windows 7 but it still wont update drivers. Powerlogger is recognized in device manager of computer.

you have to turn off enforcement of driver "signing"

I'm not sure exactly where to do that in Win8, but this is a common complaint with Win8.

also be sure to direct the driver update wizard to the drivers folder, not inside the drivers folder.

Thanks for the help. I googled "driver signature" and found a link to the procedure to disable driver signature.

Both drivers successfully updated doing the manual steps for windows 7 procedure
All good, powerlogger now monitoring
