Man, what a boring race. Glad the rain came to end it early. And what is the deal with that stupid Digger cartoon, what a joke. Did Jr. have his head up his butt today or what???

Didnt even watch it, as a kid my dad made me watch NASCAR (early 70's) before NASCAR was "cool".....

I have lost all interest with the Car of Tomorrow ETC..... It isn't real NASCAR anymore:(

Hmm...Jr. Not a fan but, Don't know. Mighta retapped that peckerhead myself on accident trying to regain control after being forced off track from a legitimate run. Unfortunate for many but I liked that the first immediate result drilled KyBusch into the wall!

I have to agree it was a boring race, i fell asleep watching it. Jr. did have his head in his ass, he looked like he was hung over from the night before:D

Unfortunately NASCAR died on 2/18/2001.:(

It sure did. And every year since Nascar keeps getting worse to the point that I had no enthusiasm left for this year's 500 and as it turned out for good reason. It used to be a man's sport, now Nascar has becoming a teeny bopper show. It's got so many cartoons and gimmicks it should be on the Nick network. DW can't shut up about Kyle or any of the toyotas. You'd swear when he watches movies about Pearl Harbor he cheers for the Japanese. JR clearly had his head between his legs on pit road but, that wreck was Vickers fault. When he forced JR down they touched and clearly Vickers breathed off the throttle a bit and JR didn't so when he came back up Vickers had slowed some and JR was trying to get back onto the track without lifting and getting touched from behind. That race SUCKED and nascar made no attempt to restart it for what would have been the best laps of the race.

How LAME! Then again, watching cars go round and round for hundreds of miles was never something that really interested me anyway.

That "turn left" GPS commercial is becoming a reality.

Now if we can get CANAM back in gear...that would be something!

I've been loosing interest in NASCAR for a while now. After allowing Toyota and the 'new' car of tommorow well, that was it. And thats not even after watching the worst 500 EVER. Thank God for the rain. There done............

Who won?

I live 90 miles from Daytona and used to go every year from 1983 until 2001. A good friend got us in for free and we would sit in the police compound in turn 4 of the infield. But I can't watch it anymore. The cars and drivers are not allowed to race, there is no more innovation.

Damn shame as it used to be fun to watch.

It was boring and the big crash happened when I was on the road for a few. I saw the replay and I dont' see where JR is 100% to blame. He had one hell of a run and got run off the track. He appeared to try to go behind dip**** as to not get a penalty for passing. He still had enough momentum going and he didn't time it quite right and tapped the 83. Why would you be so aggressive to block a lapped car that has a good run going? It was just asking for trouble. His old man would have moved him I guarentee it...not on accident either. Miss #3 too:frown:

Had it not rained it probably would have been much better but it always seems there are huge wrecks and only a handfull of cars finish. Seems worse the last few years on plate races. Less fear with safer barriers pehaps?

Matt Kenseth.

I thought Vickers got what he deserved and the ensuing carnage was "racing". Vickers came down ON Jr and not in front of him. Its a stupid rule that forces the guy you ran off the road to back off.

The shoot out was pretty good and the race might have gotten good if it hadn't finished early.

Nascar

Nascar true comparison.Throw dinkey cars in the toilet and flush gives the same illusion.TOILET BOWL racing. Nascar is like formula 1 all about the drivers. When they came out with the car of never never land I lost interest.

cars of tomorrow  I thought I was watching Saturday morning cartoons for a while. What a song and dance

I agree 100% he had a good run going and tried to pass if that jackass didnt try and block him it would have never happened.

That was the best part;)

I am a JR. fan, only reason I even give a crap about Nascar... That was racing... Remember the crap they pulled for Bush last year? What goes around comes around...
