Actually runs better with Hot Lap.

Thanks, Mike

Nice times. I have a similar combo. I was surprised that my car ran an all time best on a hot lap. It's nice to see you do this good with so few mods.

I am surprised it ET's so well with such low Mph, I just had the trans done (David Husek). I am not sure what he does but it shifts real nice not a u-joint snapping shift just surges with each gear change. 9.5 Protorque conv. 2600@0 boost.
I think the trans was a big part of it. Keeping Rpm down.
Shifts points 4900-5000-5000 thru the traps. I tried 5300 on 2/3 shift once car went slower. This car does not like to go over 5K, that's why I changed the springs. I could feel it nose over above 5k with the old springs(12.182 107.96). Now it does not nose over but only gained maybe 1mph.
David H. built the trans for my Ta60 at the time. I really have a goal of 120-125mph in 1/4.

Thanks, Mike

I am sure there is still a lot left in it. How are your af readings? If they are good you can try leaning it out a little. My car was the same way it didn't like to rev over 5k. I started to pull wot fuel out 3 numbers at a time. Et and mph got better each run. I got to where I pulled about 7% fuel and started to get a very small amount of kr so I added a little alky and it went away. 1st run of the day was 12.10 @ 110. I made 8 runs tweaking fuel each time and watching for kr. Last run was 11.62 @ 123 mph. At that point letting the car shift itself from1/2 it was shifting around 5400. I shifted 2/3 @ 5300.

I was tweaking fuel & timing (Tried higher bst no more mph just more knock)

A/F 10.8-10.9 (WOT F +3.9% 1st F -3.1%)
Timing 26.5/22.9 Zero Knock
I am still bumping up on 1/2 timing, got to late I was last run of the night.
Anything over 23* 3/4 started to Knock no Mph gain.

I just can't seem to get anymore mph

I would leave timing at what the chip is programmed to or less. That should let you run higher boost without kr. I also would pull out fuel instead of adding.

With the higher boost 23-24. I bumped up the Alky. (Zero Knock) It did not go any faster. It might with the dump open?
I just installed Pypes system. Have not tested open dump.
I picked up .2 - 2mph with my old Flowmaster single muffler system. (23-24psi)
My WB bung is installed on the Test pipe. I was afraid it would throw off my A/F readings being so close to the Dump opening so I left it closed.

I am trying to keep the A/F on the safe side. I have popped Head gaskets on my Old car 87 Gn. Not looking forward to that on this car.

I think you are simply out of breath with the stock turbo. Sounds like your motor is eating everything you're throwing at it. Turn alky up until you are KR free, but adjust the AFR with the gasoline tune in the chip. How are you tuning for AFR? And what are the readings with whatever you are using?

TT5.7 chip
LC-1 wideband 10.8/10.9 AFR Adjusted with chip
Base Timing always needed 6-6.5 Alky Zero Knock
Bumped Timing needs 7-7.5 Alky Zero Knock
60' 1.628
330' 4.779
1/8 mile 7.502@89mph (Mph guess from earlier runs slip says 47.45)
1000' 9.896
A taller Tire may improve times?

Looks good. If timing didn't net you anything, then turn it back down and throw a bigger turbo on that guy. You've run it out! Nice.

And you're picking up over 20mph out the back so that's great too. Not sure there is much left in a taller tire as the 60's look good too. Maybe you could hit them harder though if taller. What psi in the tires were you running?

Well done. I've had my best times with that tire at 19-20 psi. I'm sure that there is a bit more left in that combo, but you'll start having to work harder to get it. That's the fun of it. You learn more that way too.

Very respectable.:)

When I was still running the stock turbo my car gained .4 - 5 mph. I really don't think you could get any where near accurate readings having your wb sensor in the test pipe.

275-60 is 28" tall.

Tried some things
1- Open dump same ET same Mph same boost same A/F (Had knock top of 2nd top of 3rd)
Closed Ex. Same setup no knock.

2- 28x10.5x15c slicks 1.63 60' 12.03@109.19

Ran 11.98@109.07 right off the street 1st run so tune was still good. (We'll DR lowered to 20Psi)

Went back to DR@20 ran bunch 11.9's

Time for a turbo upgrade.
