so you guys think 100lb springs are too weak for the 206/206 comp cam? I installed them new with the cam???

If they are the 980 comps that they recommend with their flat tappet cams, then yes its the springs. the 980's are weak. Been there done that.
not sure if you have flat tappet or roller.

Unplugged the cap and same thing. Trying some stronger springs tomm... At this point it's the only thing left , I'm keeping my fingers crossed

well... I'm thinking (new)980s are FINE for that cam.... not the problem, IMO... stronger springs = wiped cam = wiped bottom end... but do what you wish... I don't have the answer to the problem, but I do know there's plenty of people running 25-26 psi boost to 5k rpm on 980's with no problem.. then again... I've been wrong before.. :)

we will see... Check those 980's at 1.700" when you get them out. Please get a picture of your face when you see the pressure on them. I wouldnt use the 980's on a stock cam. well... maybe a stock cam. My buddy had the same issues and changed to 105 lbers. and all was good. Bison will tell you too.
you cant get enough pressure running boost. BUT ! too much eats a lobe.
Damned if you do and damned if you dont !! I went roller.
(after everyone told me to in the first place ! ) I'm a dumbass though.
hope the springs work !!! Keech

I just hope he finds the problem. It Sucks to fight problems like this and can be costly too !!!! We all make mistakes ! We are all just trying to help !
Good luck ! Keech

Check if the cam is worn. Make sure the rockers are all moving equally. Inspect push rods, rocker's, springs and shafts. If all looks good I would continue to diagnose. Maybe try something simple Throw some R42TS AC spark plugs gapped @.030 I have never had any luck with those NGK's in the Buick. Worth a shot. Cheap anyway. ;)

If you recently changed to E85, I would install a fresh fuel filter element as E85 tends to clean the crud out of your fuel system! Get that fuel pressure gauge installed ASAP.

I had a similar experience like this once..Turned out to be gas fouled plugs.I even had the old plugs blasted, checked everything else for a week or more..On a hunch a changed the plugs and no more high rpm stumble.
Worth a shot!

Thanks to all the people trying to help me out with my damned situation. And the fuel filter was changed the day I started the motor with a brand new ac delco. I also popped off both valve covers and it all looks even as I would crank over, the cam is 4 months old as well my entire new build. Like I said earlier tommorrow hopefully I'll be getting bigge valve covers to fit a buddy of mines Harlem sharps and stronger springs.... If nothing after that this ****ty cam is coming out!

: )

Springs were good... just put the Harland Sharps and car revs up in boost again! It was preload that was affecting it.

good deal ! Glad to see you have it all working ! Things like this can be a bitch. Keech
