84 crank sensor swop

You can use the crank shaft position sensor out one out of the following;
85 TR :tongue:
86-87 TR - Use the pigtail available through Casperselectronics
The newer series, but not without a lot more work.

You are correct.
Maybe the mods can move this thread to the appropriate section, but in case they don’t ............ and in an effort to maintain compliant with the section header , this is how you do it :wink:;

If you are using the 84-85 sensor;
Unplug the sensor, remove the old sensor, install new sensor, set the gap, plug the sensor back into the main wiring harness.

If you are using the 86-87 sensor;
Unplug the sensor, remove the old sensor, install new sensor, set the gap, plug the Caspers pigtail into the sensor, plug the other side into the wire harness side connector.
