I'm now using a JL 100+ chip w/ alky (23 deg.). I'm turning around 110-113mph. 23-24lbs no knock. Using 93 oct. et's are low 12's.
Could I raise mph using a different chip w/o the alky? (race gas)
Is there a better chip to run with alky? I would like to tickle 11's.:D My 60's vary between 1.60"s and 2.0's. Same mph. Thanks Dave:cool:

If you put in a race chip with 28* timing or so, raise boost to 25#, and keep the 60' around 1.6 it will be real close:cool:

What size tires are you running? With 26" tires you probably won't go much faster than 113. The stock motor isn't happy over 5000 RPM.

Switch to 28" tires if you haven't yet.

You should be able to hit the 11's as is, but the addition of 28' slicks should be more than enough to put you over the edge. 111-113 mph is good for 11.9's. I have tons of timeslips with 11.9's @ 111-112 mph. You will have to have you 60' time in the 1.6's for the most part.

I ran a few weeks ago with around 20 psi boost and a 0 psi launch and went 11.97 @ 112 mph.

23-24psi on a TA49 should be more than enough to get 11's regardless of your chip as long as you can get your launches figured out.

I think you can hit 11's with current combo and alchy. Just keep tuning! I did it with 22 degrees and 91 octane.
